A top quality guesthouse. Very friendly and welcoming. Provided me with useful information on places to eat even checking which were open as it was a Monday night. The breakfast was great. I'd ordered a packed lunch which was also lovely and would have fed two people. I'd certainly stay again if in the area

We booked a two night stay based upon reviews we had read on TripAdvisor. The Old Rectory is located near to the village of Ruthin, we chose to stay here as we had a wedding to attend in Denbigh. On arrival we were met by the owners and shown to our room. Then invited down into the lounge for coffee...

Great place to stay in beautiful part of Wales. Hostess was so thoughtful and had so many nice touches. We had special dietary requirements which were no trouble.....home made flapjack was fab. Would recommend to all.

The Old Rectory Clocaenog is a little remote but directions I received by email from the owner (when I booked through Booking.com - I now know you can book online direct to the Old Rectory) were clear and I had no trouble finding it. I arrived late (9.45pm). Catherine could not have been more welcoming after my 3 hours driving...

A great stay was had here, fabulous breakfast and a very clean room. The owners were really helpful and friendly. They served breakfast at 8am even on New Years day. The location is convenient for Ruthin and access to all areas in North Wales.

We enjoyed a calm and peaceful night here during the Christmas period. Catherine was warm and helpful, the perfect host. We desperately needed a calm night of sleep and R'n'R, this was respected and I could have stayed for a week just to sleep in such comfort. The quiet location suited us perfectly. The room we had was lovely.
