Our friend hired this place for their 50th birthday party. The lodge sleeps 35 and has various rooms which sleeps a different amount of people in each. The place is clean and basic and serves its purpose which is a hostel. The bedrooms were clean and lovely and warm. The showers are shared but have plenty of hot water and...

My bf and I stayed at Snowdon Lodge over the Easter weekend with a hiking group (London Adventure Group (plug allowed?!?)) and had a great time. I didn't cook in the kitchen (just did breakfast and lunch things), but it looked very well equipped. The dining room is large, and the living room very cosy with the log fire! On...

Carl & Anja did whatever they could to make our stay comfortable, from getting extra wood for the fire to giving information about the location area such as pubs and restaurants. There is a kitchen (fridge, cooker etc.) for personal use which was very helpful during the stay. Really lovely village and house. I would definitely recommend.

We have stayed 3 times at Snowdon Lodge. Carl does everything he can to make the stay as pleasant as possible- right down to taking deliveries when I messed up on timings. The house is spacious, well worn but well equipped. I would not hesitate in recommending it or returning. Thank you Carl.

Snowdon Lodge is the perfect base for a large group in a beautiful location. Close to Porthmadog, beautiful beaches, Ffestiniog railway, Snowdon, Coed-y-Brenin, etc. Accommodation is basic but spacious and comfortable. Will be returning!

We were a large group with a mix of all ages and found the hostel to be perfect for our needs. The large kitchen was great for self-catering and the snug lounge was perfect for the evenings. Facilities were good including a useful drying room and the kids loved the games room away from us boring adults! The area is...

We used the Hostel as a base for 4 families to explore the area. Within a short drive was Snowdon for summiting, Porthmadog beach for kite surfing (no wind but beautiful anyway), Port Merion for a quite surreal wander around and the stunning Ogwen valley for rock climbing. The hostel is great for group living with a large kitchen, dining...

The house was very cold with heating only in some rooms. The beds were uncomftable and I got a bad nights sleep. It wasn't at all homely but was practical for large groups like our one and could cater for many, it was in a good location. The facilities were very basic with no wardrobes or drawers in any rooms...

We had a brilliant break here as a group of families holidaying together. The bed rooms are an ideal size for each family to have their own, the kitchen ideal for cooking for a group and there is a lovely lounge which had the log burner already glowing when we arrived. We couldn't have asked for more.

Stayed there last year this time with a group thirty friends from London. The house was bigger than we expect with plenty of rooms in different sizes in it, so we fitted in easily. Heating was always on and the bedrooms were warm enough to sleep peacefully, there was also a lovely fireplace in the common room and was quite...
