I want to start with saying that the property is absolutely amazing. The house and the art inside is beautiful and the rooms really specious and comfortable. Our bathroom was so cosy. Lovely!! But this place is not a 5* hotel and that needs to be said straight away. First of all they charge for late check ins (not a...

This hotel was one of the highlights of our monthlong trip through the UK and Ireland. It's a beautiful, old house, with gorgeous bathrooms, large well appointed rooms, terrific original details, off the hook modern art and a wonderful breakfast. Our travel Matt Coppin from Great British Escapes outdid himself with this place. If you book, do ask for the...

I feel a bit confused reading other people's reviews which are extremely positive which is why we picked this hotel. It does say check in is at 4 pm so we arrived at 3.30 pm and had to sit on the step as the hotel is locked up until 4 pm. I've never stayed anywhere where the place isn't manned...

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Ffynnon. It was absolutely superb - we stayed in "Emily" at the top of the house and I would certainly recommend it, the website photos don't do the room justice. The bed is extremely comfy, the room is gorgeous and the bathroom a dream! The staff are fantastic, helpful and...

Ffynnon was a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully renovated building in a charming town. Our room (Hazel) was really a two-room suite with a nice little living room and amazing views over the town and mountains. The food was delicious! Excellent place to stay.

My partner booked this for our first weekend away together, I didn't know where we were going until we arrived. He could not have chosen anywhere more perfect. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated, our room (Aimee) was so stunning I cried!! Attention to detail was amazing, loved the butlers pantry where you could get fresh milk for your morning...

My wife and I booked for a weekend stay here in July through Mr and Mrs Smith, using a voucher which was a gift from our daughter. We wished to take our much loved dog with us and the website indicated they were a ‘dog friendly’ establishment. As a precaution I added a note to the online booking that our...

I stopped for two nights, along with my wife and two children 8 and 4. We stopped in the hazel suit, this was ideal for us, because it gave the kids a room to themselves. It had sky tv and a DVD player, which was ideal, because it rained solid for two days. The room was spacious enough and very well...
