Stayed here last minute as the weather was good. Got a very large room with a comfortable if not a little small double bed. We had a castle view which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were helpful and smiley. Breakfast was not amazing. Waited 30 seconds for a full English and the tomato doesn't lie. It was like rubber. Overall...

We stayed for 3 nights Easter 2017 in room 306. I paid extra to have a room with a view of the castle. However, this room was dark and the small windows were blocked by a large wardrobe in front of them so the castle view was obscured. There were damp stains on the ancient wallpaper, an ill fitting trap...

Positives: No rude staff, they were all polite and helpful. Room was basic but clean. Breakfast was edible. Free parking is ample albeit across the road with no security. Close to all local amenities. Constructive feedback: Highly recommended for over 70s, as hotel is aimed at, and attracts this age group. Entertainment, as above, think organ. WiFi is only available...

The Hotel for a 6 night Alpha Coach Holiday from the North West. This was a clean and tidy hotel on the main street. My room was clean, well provisioned and comfortable. I was a solo traveller on a coach trip, paying a small supplement for single occupancy of a double room. The food was good quality and portions for...

The hotel is quite old and a bit tired but our room was very good, well up to standard. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the service was very good. The food was average but adequate. There was entertainment provided but we did not participate. Criccieth is a beautiful little seaside resort and the weather was superb for...

Having previously stayed at the Lion Hotel in the village,we decided to try the George as they were nearly £50 cheaper for a 2 night stay b&b.The hotel has recently been refurbed so the twin 318 on the 3rd floor had virtually new fittings, very warm with good easy to use shower, giving the George the edge over the Lion. Where the...

This was our second stay at the George IV, having previously visited here with friends in September 2012. This was our 11th holiday with Alfa and Leisureplex and our second Christmas break. The hotel has been extended since our previous visit but still maintains the same high standard of comfort and cleanliness as before. Hamid, the manager greeted us on...

We spent 10days here over Xmas and new year. Cannot understand previous complaints about the cold! The only people in the lounge wearing hats and coats were waiting to go out on trips. Lovely food, lovely warm bedroom on the third floor. Manager very helpful, poor chap was even pleasant to some guests who were shouting at him. Most of...
