We stayed at a campsite in Harlech in September, The Queens was the nearest pub to us so gave it a visit. We did'nt eat , just had a drink. But it was nice to see new chairs/tables being put up . The lady behind the bar was lovely, ( cheerful, helpful). No Nasty dogs around. We chatted to the...

First of all I believe this establishment is under new management so all previous reviews are now historic. I visited the Queens Hotel last night for drinks with my partner and was quite surprised at how welcoming it is once your inside, the external decor is a little negative and internals a bit dated but nothing offensive. Prices are ok...

Myself and my two friends booked this hotel for the 21st 22nd & 23rd of November 2013, We needed a location close to Shell Island to do some fishing there. When I phoned to book it I explained to the lady that we would going out at 5am each morning to go fishing. She told me it would not be...

I'm not one for writing bad reviews but I really can't think of anything good to say about the Queens Hotel. We visited Harlech at the end of August, we had been for a lovely walk up to the castle and round the village and was looking forward to a nice drink and a meal. When we entered the bar...

I was desperate to find somewhere for one night on a bank holiday weekend but everywhere was booked. The Queens Hotel looked quite good in the photos so I booked but was a little wary that the price was pretty low. However, the photos suggested it was going to be a bargain. As I approached, my heart sank. It was...

We wanted to climb snowden over the may bank holiday and loads of places were booked out. The queens hotel had availability for a great rate including breakfast and free parking. Yes the hotel is old but we found the owners very helpful and friendly and the rooms were fine for our group of 3 adults and 3 children. The...

Stayed here with a group of friends on a cycling holiday recently. When we arrived, the friend who'd booked the hotel's heart sank as it's a very shabby-looking place. The dining room/bar is more like the owner's living room, full of toys and the usual domestic junk associated with a family with young children, rather than the bar or dining...

We had the misfortune of eating in the bar during our holiday last week, the owners were unfriendly and rude. They did not deserve the buiness of our party of 20. Half of the food on the menu was not available, what was available was not of a high standard and one meal came complete with a hair. When one member...

We booked in for two nights as we arrived we wished we had booked elsewhere,The exterior is very shabby and consquently we were not expecting much from the interior. The impression we got was that a renovation projest was underway as was evidenced by many new structural elements, new door surrounds, shower etc. The bar area was not really welcoming although the owners...

We had intended to eat here after wondering down from Harlech Castle. We managed one drink before we left. I have never drunk so fast the place is horrid filthly windows and dead flys on the window. Couldn't leave fast enough!
