Stayed for one night with a Groupon voucher. Arrived on a cold damp afternoon to be greeted with a lovely log fire in the lounge. The hotel itself has a cosy comfortable quaintness to it. Yes the floorboards creek but it adds to the charm and character of the place. Much better than the soulless modern hotels that seem to...

I purchased a Groupon for my husband as a Christmas give as we'd decided that it was about time we had a break away from our 2 year old twins for the first time. We weren't disappointed! The hotel has a lovely, cosy, oldy worldy feel, the room was very quaint and comfortable. We had a lovely relaxing stay with...

In general, the whole hotel was very peaceful and everyone is very friendly. I asked regarding the hike to Pen Y Fan and the staff did not hesitate to print out directions for us to get there. Aside from the creaky floors of the entire upper level, which made me feel like I might be causing a nuisance to others,...

We stayed with the groupon voucher for £49 glass of wine on arrival bed-and-breakfast but I would not have paid more than this for what we had the place is beautiful very oldy worldly and had a lovely atmosphere in the bar but when we went to the room you could tell it is an old building everything creaked and...

We last had a meal here with friends on New Years Day and have had two or three meals previously. The food was very good, some unusual dishes which is nice. They have a good specials board which is great because being a pescetarian means that the main menu would be limited after a couple of visits. The service was...

Thank you for your comments - the specials board is an excellent vehicle for our more interesting fish dishes as it allows limited availability and as such freshness. I am sorry to hear that you have found the service to be variable - we always strive for consistency.

Booked this hotel for my parents (Lawrence) and they really enjoyed their nights stay. They said the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely old features and sat by the fire to have their food. They said food was amazing and tasty. And really good prices too. They will be going back for more visits in the future! Keep up...

Unbeatable value for money both the accommodation and the food. Dogs are just as welcome as their owners with friendly staff and excellent service. Courtesy of groupon we had a "best" room which was spacious and well equipped although the wifi was marginal-worked fine in the bar though! We will certainly be back soon. The only very minor complaint being...

I think that we discussed the Wi-Fi issues whilst you were here. Hopefully once BT have completed their works, normal service will resume. Regards the bread, I agree that artisan bread is delicious but we tend to find the majority prefer processed sliced for breakfast & indeed that fits our budget !
