This is a small, comfortable hotel with gorgeous views of the mighty Mississippi. We really enjoyed the personality of this place! In the mornings, coffee was served on each floor in a reading nook! Charming!! We also enjoyed a walk on the river trail. Rooms were spacious and clean. The restaurant has delicious food. This is the best place to...

If you are tired of cookie cutter hotels and want that old feeling then this is your hotel. Located on Mud Island this smaller hotel has a classic feel about it. The front desk is within 5 feet of the main door and service is always impeccable. Move a little further into the main parlor and you instantly feel yourself...

We stayed at the River Inn for two nights on our holiday and I cannot say how much we enjoyed it. The hotel and room were beautiful, the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The food delicious. The terrace bar with a wonderful view of the sunset and Mississippi River was delightful. Would recommend without any hesitation.

I did not actually realise that the River Inn is a smidge outside the centre of Memphis when I booked it. Walkable for me or a short cab ride. We stayed in the main building and the room was fab, the service great and the food both dinner and breakfast superb (Sheena working both was very attentive). A welcome haven...

The hotel is in two buildings, we stayed on the top floor of the adjacent building on the first night but there was some interference from the air conditioning. They kindly moved us to the main building and another great room but this time quiet. We ate in all 3 of the restaurants/bars and all were great. Very friendly staff...

This hotel was excellent in every way the rooms are spacious yet homely with lots of little touches such as the complimentary port and chocolates put in the room every night before bed. Top class toiletries and comfy bed and pillows made our nights restful after a full day sightseeing the location is perfect within walking distance of Memphis yet...

My wife and I stayed at the River Inn for two nights at the end of our southern trip. The Inn is extremely service oriented, the staff very friendly and the accommodations wonderful. There is also a piano player in the evenings! This is a marvelous boutique hotel and we recommend it to everyone.

Rooms are nice but this hotel and its bars have a serious issue when it comes to customer service. From arrival and through the stay the simplest tasks seemed just too much trouble (with the notable exception of the lovely piano player). Hostess in Tugs bar deserves a special mention for her couldn't care less attitude.

The hotel is located across the road from the Mississippi river and in a quiet, pleasant residential area away from the city. Our rooms overlooked the river and were large and beautifully furnished, as were all the public areas of the hotel. Our package included a gourmet breakfast every morning - the food was freshly cooked, varied and delicious. Staff...
