This is a fantastic location for walkers and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Two of us were climbing the mountains around Loch Quoich - and we were made to feel very welcome by Tony, a fantastic cook and convivial host. Nothing was too much trouble for Tony, and the food was fantastic, especially the fruit cake...

We received the most wonderful welcome from Tony at 9pm, given excellent meal at 9.30. Good fire even at 6.45am when he gave us breakfast so that we could make a start on a long day's hill walking. Look forward to a return visit.

I was walking the southern section of the Cape Wrath trail, and was lucky enough to be able to stay at Kinlochhourn Farm. Tony made me extremely welcome, and the comforts of the farm were a major help in keeping me going. I had dinner, bed and breakfast, and Tony was kind enough to also do some basic laundry for...

I arrived around 8pm and I was delighted to find that a B&B was available not only that but Tony would make me an evening meal. The bangers and mash title doesn't do the meal justice. I loved the 'off grid' candlelight charm of the cottage too.

Tony made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and as we were staying 2 nights offered us the cottage. He had already made it lovely and warm despite the cold weather and there was plenty of piping hot water. The absence of electric light wasn't a problem, there were plenty of candles. Tony provided excellent food morning and...

Tony and Woodstock the dog made us feel so welcome on our one night stay whilst walking up towards Cape Wrath. It's the first place I've ever stayed where they've washed and dried our wet dirty clothes (thank you Tony!). We had a comfortable bedroom, use of a warm sitting room with lovely views down the loch, and even internet...

Walking CW Trail: a very welcome place to stay. Food - dinner, breakfast, packed lunch - all excellent. Bed was comfortable, and shower/electricity good given the remote location. Tony was helpful in offering beers on arrival, advice on path conditions, kindly doing some basic laundry, and providing a fire. And the dog is very friendly!

The accomodation here is ideally situated for hikers and walkers exploring Knoydart or doing the Cape Wrath Trail. This is not a boutique B&B, do not expect lavender scented sheets, also the website's statement of 8 single rooms is economical with the truth. Enough of the negatives. The good points; 1. A hearty breakfast, a solid simple dinner well cooked...

On the evening of Thursday June 16 we arrived tired at your Farmhouse. Much later than we anticipated and with one knee injury. Except one, all agreed that the the planned walk to Inverie next day would be too much for our (average age 63) muscles and bones. However, a sudden change of plans would (if at all possible) imply...

booked in at kinlochhourn farm at short notice to avoid a wet night in tents. The welcome, kindness and hospitality we received was superb, walked in the door and in quick time Tony had the fire drying our gear and us enjoying tea and cake. All our minor problems were sorted out for us, nothing was to much trouble. If...
