We only stayed one night, but thoroughly enjoyed the Highland charm and hospitality. We arrived late afternoon and enjoyed a walk around the grounds. We also had dinner which was both delicious and a delightful experience. The room was comfy and we had a great...More
Location on the loch and extensive walking paths through glens and along stream make this a special place. Designation "Castle" was a bit different than we expected. Some great historic portraits and art. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Visiting McLarin Car Club was a plus.
This was our favorite spot in Scotland. Gorgeous spacious room overlooking lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were very nicely maintained, and when everything is in bloom must be lovely. The evening meal was wonderful and breakfast was great. Only stayed one night,...More

Glengarry Castle Hotel is a comfortable country house hotel with a jewel of a setting on the shores of Loch Oich at the heart of the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. Great touring base, stay for a few days and explore the Highlands - 7 miles from Loch Ness, 40 miles south of Inverness, 25 miles north of Fort William and just 50 miles to the Isle of Skye. Set in 60 acres, well away from the road, lots of local walks. Free WiFi in every bedroom and public areas. Family run for over 50 years. The building has not been extended and there is no annexe, all bedrooms are in the original house.

Check with the hotel to be sure.
