Stayed here for one night, found the welcome from reception to be very friendly and helpful. Was give a room upgrade which was well accepted and appreciated. The hotel and rooms were very traditional in decor but the appearance was that of slightly worn and tired, the grounds are wonderful for a pre- dinner walk and the location outstanding. Breakfast... We only stayed for one night unfortunately. We had an enormous, beautifully furnished room with a bathroom you could hold a party in! The bed was really comfortable and the room was nice and warm. The views from the windows were spectacular. I went for a stroll to the old castle, through pretty woodland, before dinner. The dinner was delicious... More

There were six of us staying here, four adults and two children. We loved it, our room was beautiful with a canopy bed, my daughter and husband had a large room to accommodate two boys nine and ten. The food was wonderful, the setting awesome and friendly as well as helpful people working there. The highlight of theses American visitors!

Only had the chance to stay one night on this visit but will be sure to return. We were warmly welcomed, shown to our rooms, as well as shown the public rooms. We enjoyed drinks in the library and got a little history lesson about the castle and property. Our rooms were well appointed, beds very comfortable. Very much enjoyed... More

We had a very relaxing 7 night stay here. The staff are most welcoming, the rooms are well appointed (although the plumbing could do with a bit of an upgrade) and the evening meals are of a very high standard. The hotel itself is well located and we wouldn't hesitate to return. This was our third visit.

Arrived a little before check in time so walked down to the water edge. Beautiful setting and sat on a bench in the sunshine relaxing. After checking in we decided to have afternoon tea/coffee. £10.50 each and scones homemade and the best ever! Bedroom was a good size and had a good shower. Bed comfortable. Had dinner and excellent food... More

Just popped in this afternoon on our way back home to Glasgow (going the scenic route via Fort William & Glencoe), to take a look. And I'm glad we did ! I walked in, wandered through the hall to the front desk and the man (sorry didn't catch his name) who welcomed me was very friendly. He offered me a... More

This hotel has some amazing staff. We arrived mid afternoon on a rainy Tuesday with our Border Terrier and we asked if we could bring him in with us. The answer was yes and we had a very pleasant mid afternoon stop at the Glengarry Castle Hotel. The service was quick and friendly. The coffee was excellent and the scones... More

We stopped off here on the way to Skye and it made a great start to the holiday. Comfortable room, welcoming staff and a good breakfast. Dogs are allowed into the comfortable lobby seating area where you can sit and enjoy an evening tipple in front of a log fire. Great views from the house and good walking all round.... More

We stopped over here on the way back from Skye so elected for a standard double - hence my negative comments may not relate to other standards of room. This is a lovely building in a fantastic location with stunning views and walks literally on the doorstep. Very friendly staff and excellent food. So why only 3 stars? Our bedroom... More
