After getting married at Gretna Green, we travelled up the west coast of Scotland and ended up in Stranraer. We needed somewhere to stay as it was quite late in the afternoon and decided to try the Swan Inn (29th, 30th September). What a good decision, a brilliant place to stay, an extremely warm welcome, the room was large, clean...

My partner and I stoped here for a couple of nights and were most impressed by the welcome and accomidation. We learned that the pub is under new management so have nothing to compare it with but the owner and staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. It was a midweek break so was fairly quite for a...

Stayed overnight on way to Ireland. The Swan Inn is a fantastically friendly place. We had a really enjoyable evening in the bar where we (and our dog) were made most welcome. A great pub and we would definitely recommend.

Worst of all my grandson was with me for a family anniversary and on lifting the toilet seat it was covered in faeces which i did not appreciate. Also the smell of urine on approaching the stairs was awful. Also care shouldbe taken by lifting the dog poo...

Travelling around Scotland we stayed at man places. We don't look for posh hotels, we look for tiny litten places with nice people and the occasion for a smalltalk. Pub accomodation was a good choice. Tennents, FreeWiFi, Football on Sky and BT and the Chance to practice a bit on the dartboard, what else can you expect! The idea serving...

My husband and dog and I decided to do a last minute road trip up to Scotland and ended up in Stranraer. It's tough to find a place, especially with the dog in tow, but found this place online and phoned up. The bloke was super-nice and we booked the family room for £45. When we showed up, he was...

Perfect location if you're looking for a typical pub accommodation. Nearly centrally located, nice park across the street (to clear the head after a night in the pub). The rooms are as one can expect from such a type of hotel: appropriate and clean. We've had a family room, which was quite spacious, maybe the bathroom could need a bit...

Canny little bar and rooms. No cooked breakfast but had cereal and toast in room with a little breakfast bar, microwave, fridge and toaster. Quite a relaxing place right on the front by a park. Owners have a lovely dog, no bother.

We stayed here for 1 night the room was really spacious and clean loved the fact the breakfast was already in your room ie cereal toast with all the trimmings and juice yogurt in the fridge which is also in the room. Nice big television. Cosy bed. Now for the down side, We think the owner may have forgot to...
