Fantastic hotel. The rooms are really big and a lot more luxurious that we would have thought with lovely sea view. Food was delicious with huge portions and the coal fire sets it off. Staff are lovely too, really chatty and friendly. Will definitely return soon

Lovely boutique style hotel with amazing views from the front. Very nice breakfast and good value for money. Staff friendly enough. Only down side is that it's at the top of a steep hill if you have difficulty with that sort of thing.

Had lunch in September and were lucky weather good so sat on the outside patio (We had our dog with us - I'm not sure if dogs are allowed inside or not). Well thought out seating with a mix of comfortable relaxing sofas and chairs as well as tables to eat at. Also a glass screen to help shield the... More

Arrived at the hotel, to be told they were full and that we had no booking, despite booking through Booking.com the week before. However, the manageress righted the situation and we were shown to a delightful second floor room, with great views of the harbour, and right across to Northern Ireland. The room itself has been newly renovated with modern... More

Just returned from a relaxing weekend in the Cameron Suite in the Mount Stewart Hotel. Wonderful welcome, fantastic evening room and facilities, faultless service and delicious food. A jewel in the crown that is Portpatrick.

Difficult to review, many plus points, but needs attention to detail to raise the bar. First difficulty over booking, perhaps out with hotels control, but remember, the customer is always right. Beautiful room, many nice features, a couple of items to note, incomplete on decor, exposed electrics in stairwell. Dinner was nice, but half lobster was not substantial and mussels... More

We stayed at this hotel as a journey break from Glasgow to Manchester, taking in a bit of the south west coast of Scotland. Portpatrick is a pleasant harbour town not far from the rather depressing Stranraer. The hotel is at the top of a hill overlooking the sea and from our room, had a good view of the quayside.... Beautiful seafood platter last night. Views amazing & great service from staff member Jack. He also kindly offered to show us the lovely rooms available for B&B at very reasonable prices for exceptional decor quality. We were directed to the Mount Stewart Hotel in Portpatrick, Scotland actually by another Hotel we had previously booked. It was my wife's 59th Birthday and luckily the first Hotel indicated the Mount Stewart might be better for the occasion and oh boy was it. First Diane, the Hotel Manager, made it very special by providing a cake for my... More
