Wow, what can I say, Rona the manager was amazing; friendly, completely professional & made us feel totally at home from the start. But all staff & the general feel of the Kings Arms is amazing, when we go back we'll 'definitely' be staying here again, a real home away from home feeling, thank you all so much x

Went as a family of 6, pre-booked just in case but when we arrived only a couple of diners. One of our party commented how quiet it was 10 minutes later the YMCA descended and filled the whole dining area then the civic group also cane in making it very busy. I'm sure the BBQ planned for the YMCA was... More

Spent a Tuesday night having seen the reviews here on trip advisor decided to give it a go. Managed to book a table and at first we did not expect it too be an issue as not very busy. But soon we were mistaken as without half an hour the place was full to the brim with everyone ordering food.... More

Dropped by a couple of times during a week's stay in Dalbeattie. On first arrival it was about 10 minutes before close of kitchen so I thought this might be a problem as we we were till missing some of our group. Not at all, staff behind the bar couldn't have been nicer. The menu was extensive and again all... More

Was staying close to Dalbeattie so decided to walk into the village to see if there was somewhere to get some lunch. Found this little gem who do a two course lunch menu for £4.99! Admittedly I assumed I would get a portion the size of a teaspoon for this price but in reality it was belting value. I had... More

Friday Lunch! Me and the wife popped in for a quick bite to eat, the staff are really friendly and the food was fantastic. There is FREE wifi, good atmosphere, and very clean. There is a "snug" that is a great place to chill out, or there is a small bar for a more local atmosphere.

We visited The King's Arms twice in three days for our evening meal. We were a little early on the first visit and each had a pot of tea while we waiting. Staff were friendly and so too were the regular customers we were near to. We ordered starters and mains. The black pudding and haggis tower was delicious, topped... More
