Visited for Sunday lunch. Blade of beef fell apart so beautiful. Lovely setting. Great service. Would definitely visit again. Tried the Malbec advertised as best there is - I would be inclined to agree

Very friendly staff and either the Bar or Bistro to dine in. Best to book in advance as very busy, even at lunchtimes. Good selection of food, well presented. We ate in the Bistro and enjoyed rack of lamb £18 and fillet steak £24 - good quality meat, but more vegetables would have been preferable. The cheeseboard £8 (with choice...

We called here about 3pm for lunch, and were pleased to find them still serving food. The locals were very friendly and the staff were very obliging, asking for some slight changes to the menu the chef came through into the bar and gave us some choices. The food was good and our expectations were more than meet,we would recommend the...

We visited the restaurant one evening with family who live near Kelso. Food and service was 5 star - absolutely delicious and well worth a repeat visit. Everything was freshly cooked and any request was met with a smile - Thankyou!!

My wife and I visited here today for lunch, the food was excellent and the service was great. We are regular visitors and each time we are not disappointed and thoroughly enjoy our meal. The atmosphere is pleasant and enjoyable.

Booked the bistro for a meal, on arrival the hotel car park was rammed full but the lounge and bistro were fairly quiet, can only assume everyone was elsewhere in the hotel. Bistro is nice, menu was wide and varied, everything from a choice of burger types, to fish, to steak's, and about average price I'd say. Peroni on draught,...

We visited for an overnight for anniversary. The room was pretty tired & dated. And for the price of it you v Can get a modern fresh room elsewhere for the same price or cheaper. The bed was comfortable only positive thing about the bedroom, but the bedroom was musty including the wardrobe & dusty curtains and the bathroom had...

After many years of passing and commenting on the impressive exterior , the timing enabled us to finally stop by for a drink. Smart bar area and friendly welcoming staff. Although to cool for us to sit outside on this visit, it did appear to have a nice beer garden.

Stopped off for a meal in the main bar/restaurant. Lots of character, relaxed and comfortable surroundings and helpful staff. Also very dog friendly! Murphy (the dog) pickled a table nearest the log burner and sprawled out and went to sleep. We then enjoyed haddock and chips and gammon and chips. Both meals were excellent and served very promptly with a...

Loved the haggis bon bons and the local venison was a real treat. Service was swift and friendly and there was plenty of room for our four legged friends. Would have loved to sample the enormous gin menu ... but sadly had to drive. Must plan an overnight stay!
