We decided to stay here, rather last minute, to break a long journey to Island of Mull. Although a little strange, was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Hotel is very much for coach parties, with extremely large bar area and dining room. However, price was very good and lovely location.
Thank DS2210

Just returned from a weekend break in Tyndrum. The hotel looked magnificent outside when approaching at night. It felt like something from the Swiss Alps. Inside the hotel was really quiet which was perfect as we looked for a relaxing weekend away. The room was alright and came with an en suite bathroom including bath which was very relaxing. The restaurant although it had a limited menu, the food was really good and the waitress, a Scottish lady was lovely and very welcoming. Overall a great experience and the hotel was ideally located for trips to Loch Lomond, Glencoe and Fort William!

From the exterior my love was tres impressed as we drove up, but the interior belied the truth. We were there for only a one night stopover and that was lon enough.

The building is old and tired as evidenced by the wallpaper peeling in the room than the mattress which looked like it was hiding a collection of laundry bags beneath a comforter which was a size too small for the bed. The body gel smelled odd as well.

But as it was not our final destination---oh, well.

We took a triple family room. The room was very spacious, the property was in a nice scenic location. Its a small town and can be an excellent base to explore the highlands. If like me you dont have the usual, Travelodge or Premier Inn in Fort William, this hotel is an excellent option, especially for the price. Breakfast was good as well.

We were greeted warmly by a young man on reception in the evening who checked us in to 3 spacious ground floor bedrooms with ensuites which were clean and comfortable with furnishings and a TV. Perhaps not so modern but quite adequate. There was tea, coffee, biscuits etc. I loved the pink colour of the hotel.
The dining room on the 3rd floor and was yellow, huge and decorated with paintings. First class service from the waitress who was quick and very efficient at taking and delivering the food order. Drinks were available from the bar which was located in the lounge where the seating area was vast and comfortable. The breakfast experience was similar to the evening meal, fast, efficient and very pleasantly served by the same waitress. Good food and nicely presented.
There was a lovely “quiet” room with leather chairs where you could just relax and read. There are other areas throughout where you can sit and enjoy the ambience of this lovely old hotel.

We used it as a stop-over between Fort William and Oban, which allowed us to see things in Glencoe before going on to the Hollow Mountain at Cruachan and then Oban.
Would I go back? Yes and probably stay longer than 1 night.
