The owners of the Rowardennan Hotel should be congratulated for the work done on this place. My companions and I shared a beautiful en-suite triple room which looked like it had recently been redecorated recently. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had a great night's sleep in this peaceful lochside location. We had an excellent evening meal in the...

We stayed at the Rowardennan hotel as a party of Five mature hikers walking The West Highland Way for JDRF charity. After walking 14 miles from Drymen we arrived and were greeted well and shown to our rooms. We ate and drank here, the location is Fabulous and enjoyed a few beers in the beer garden at the rear overlooking...

My wife, daughter (19 months) and I came here for a wee day out from Coatbridge. The Hotel we never stayed in so I can't give a honest review of the facilities on offer. We did however eat there. Now I must start with the negative 1. The burger was not that tasty and to be honest looked a little...

Myself and my partner went here yesterday after a very long day where we were so hungry and really looking forward to some good and hearty pub grub. Firstly when we got there we noticed a sign saying order at the bar so assumed you just took a seat at an available table. Then the hunt was on to find...

Reviewing as a bar and restaurant customer rather than a hotel guest. I've been here twice whilst walking the west highland way, and it seems to be improving! Food is tastier than ever, and nice to see St. Mungos added to the draft beer options. A slightly wider range of beers would make this place perfect. The view from the...

We are a party of two single hikers and the hiking company we used booked on our behalf, for our overnight stay a month ago. Situated on the edge of Loch Lomond the Hotel was easy to locate. The hotel was undergoing renovation at the time of our stay and many areas were off limits due to wet paint and...

We stayed here during our West Highland Way walk, and enjoyed it. Sadly the place was in the process of being re-furbished, and the drying room was not available, so our VERY wet clothes and boots etc never really dried out overnight. But supper was nice, as was the breakfast.

We had an overnight stay on our WHW walk and it was truly memorable. We had a lovely, airy, quiet room. Enjoyed fabulous food for dinner and breakfast and a great atmosphere in the bar too. And, of course, the Rowardennan is in a beautiful location.

On a weekend family break we stopped here for some comfort food and we weren't disappointed. Fish and chips, burgers, pizzas and traditional Scottish food. Had a lovely meal, it was busy but very friendly and the staff were excellent. We were overcharged initially however the barmaid noticed right away and refunded the money before we had noticed. Overall a...
