We were recommended this restaurant to meet family from all parts of Scotland. It was a cold wet Easter Saturday and we met for lunch. The food was great with a superb Scottish twist and the service was a first class. Despite the weather sight of Loch Lomond was as heartening as the food on offer, highly recommend to people...

The lodge we stayed in was immaculate very spacious. great value for money. The pub offers some excellent food and has a lot of character. Great friendly service. perfect for a quite break taking in some fantastic scenery. They have a helicopter landing pad if your just having a flying visit. Will definitely be back.

After a very wet and weary walk up Cannock hill we headed to The Oak in the hope of a bite to eat. We walked in and headed to the reception area to strip of the very muddy and wet walking gear and found that others had done the same and it was the norm. We asked the receptionist for...

Stopped here after a morning hike around the shores of Loch Lomond and we were treated to some great Scottish hospitality. The inside of the pub it's a sight to behold and the outdoor area offers great views on the lake. The restaurant was full and the food looked great. Would definitely visit again.

We stopped here for the night last Saturday after our 1st leg of the West Highland Way. We stayed here 2 years ago whilst doing the same trek and it was as good as ever. We stayed in the James cottage which is a short stroll from the main building. The room was great .Very cosy and comfortable. The lady at...

Excellent solicitous service, friendly staff and a varied menu. Tasty food too. What more could you ask for? The Arctic char was sublime and our other meals were all excellent. There are toys in the entrance foyer and a sign welcoming anyone with muddy boots. The decor ( fairy lights and mounted teacups) appealed to our baby grandson! We noticed...

CAFE OAK TREE After a walk up the Connick Hill food to replenish lost energy was the order of the day! A mug of the house speciality soup .. the 5 Cs was exactly what the pounded body needed! On a whim we took off for a weekend by Loch Lomond. Without any knowledge of the area we happened on The Oak Tree for a Friday eve dinner. The menu is varied and (dare I say this?) a bit 'pub grub' in design with the ubiquitous burger section and pizzas though in fairness there were other local delicacies (locally...
