We stayed here for 1 night at the start of the west highland way. We were soaking wet and we were greeted by the owner Betty. She went and took off our wet stuff and dryed them for us and got us a cup of tea. It was the best cup of tea ever. Rooms are lovely and the view...

Betty Twaddle opens up her home to guests with charm and warmth. The room was adequate (small but immaculately clean and functional) and the breakfast was yummy. We stayed here our first night in Scotland and were charmed by the beautiful location and the hostess' friendliness. Balmaha is a tiny town right on Loch Lomond and the West Highland Way....

Lovely cottage, lovely host, lovely location and lovely breakfast. Clean, tidy, great bathroom, great beds and a nice loch view. Very close to Balmaha village and the inn there, although thw food there was average. We felt very welcome. It was a perfect stop for us on the WHW. We would certainly go back.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in September. Berry was very welcoming and a great host. Breakfast was very nice and the room was lovely. We spent our weekend visiting Stirling, William Wallace's monument and we got the train from Stirling to Edinburgh. There is a lovely restaurant a short walk away from the cottage

I was traveling with my husband and his parents (80years old) and this was the perfect B and B. Betty Twaddle was kind, considerate, and a very good cook. I had spoken with her prior to our arrival and her responses were quick and thorough. We were to arrive quite early due to flights and she was most accommodating. She...

Set in an idyllic location beside Loch Lomond and right on the West Highland Way, we liked this B & B very much indeed. Great welcomeand warm hospitality throughout. Lovely room, access to a comfortable lounge in the evening and great breakfast - what more could you ask. Only 2 rooms though so make sure you book in good time.

Overlooking Loch Lomond this is an ideal stopping off point whilst walking the West Highland Way. After we had made our booking a welcoming postcard was sent to us from the owners. A nice touch, thank you. We received a friendly welcome on our arrival & were shown to our spotless & very comfy rooms. There is a large lounge...
