Stayed at the Heron Lodge in January 2017 with my girlfriend. First of all, it was snowing as we arrived and when we opened to door to our accommodation (The Heron Lodge) the first thing you felt was the warmth from inside. The next thing you noticed was how spotlessly clean the lodge was. I would defy anyone to find...

As friends there were three couples celebrating their 60th birthday with the exception of myself whom will be 60 in July. We thought the coachhouse sounded ideal with two large bedrooms and a smaller double. Whether it was our fault or not i'm not sure but it isn't ideal for three couples, there are two massive bedrooms either side of...

We stayed for 4 days in Smiddy Lodge. It was for 2 people, and one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. It was a home away from home, and a total gem to find. It had excellent facilities, great modern kitchen, lovely bathroom, and very good heating (essential for Scotland in February). The location of here was...

We always use Auchenheglish when we come to Loch Lomond but this was out first time staying in Pier Cottage - it's wonderful. As always the service from Liz was excellent. The views from the sitting room can't be beaten and the location for access to amenities is great. Pier was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Can not recommend...

Our third visit to one of the Auchenheglish Lodges in the Loch Lomond area. We normally stop in the lodges for two people, but on this occasion took my daughter and her financee and stopped for four lovely days/nights at Jetty lodge which sleeps up to 6 people. Although very spacious the lodge is amazingly cosy with excellent quality beds...

What an amazing weekend away at Callanish House. The house itself is incredible, with amazing views over the Loch. The interior of the house is charming, with the décor being all authentic items such as solid wooden tables, four post beds and a log fire - no shortcuts have been taken to make this house feel like the inside of...

We have just returned from a weekend spent at the Penthouse apartment in Lomand Castle. What a stunning place, we didn’t want to leave. The apartment itself is beautiful with three ensuite bedrooms, a large kitchen and a huge living-diner, all with stunning views of the Loch. The master bedroom is truly special, it’s a huge room with a large...

We booked this family weekend in Dec 2015 for Oct 2016, and its now clear to see why this place is booked so far in advance! The photos do NOT do it justice. Stunning inside and out. Very modern & spacious. Pure luxury. Did not want to leave and can't wait to book again. Mum didn't even mind cooking for...

We just had a lovely week at the Penthouse Apartment in Lomond Castle and it was brilliant. It has 3 fabulous bedrooms all ensuite. The kitchen, dining room and lounge were excellent and the owner had thought of everything. Liz who dealt with our reservation at Auchengelish made the booking process very simple and nothing was a bother. There are...
