As you arrive the magical waterside setting will take your breath away. If you enjoy supremely fresh seafood, comfortable rooms with stunning views, great individual hospitality and an area with fabulous seascapes with an island feel your stay at The Royal an Lochan will leave nothing to be desired. We are however only 90 mins from Glasgow and on a scenic peninsula.

Our trip to Argyll stopped suddenly when we learned the ferry quits at 7. With no petrol station open, we called on the Royal staff for assistance. They not only offered free use of their phone, but offered a room and all their services. It’s not only a very clean, orderly

We have now had several excellent meals here since Gill and Greg took over the Royal an Lochan. We brought two friends for a meal last Friday on their first visit to Tighnabruaich and they have been singing the Royal's praises since then. The service has always been very

We stayed at the The Royal an Lochan Hotel last night. Four of us had been working in the nearby forests. We arrived just before 8 wet, hungry and absolutely filthy. The hospitality was second to none. We can’t thank you enough.

Hi Richard Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, and one that is so appreciated. My heart certainly went out to you all after working out in the wet & cold all day and being so far away from home, and then having to go out and do it again the next day. It was our pleasure to have you stay with us and look forward to having you and your families should you get the opportunity to be back in this area again. Kind Regards Gill & Greg

HI Kaycam46 Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we are so lucky to have great staff and glad you thought so too. Thank you for the comment with regards to the lighting on the stairs, we are now having this looked at, as you can imagine we are never outside in the dark, or rarely, so great to receive feedback such as yours so we can make changes to enable us to offer our customers a better experience. Kind regards Greg & Gill

Is this hotel bisabled friendly
If you mean in terms of physically disability/mobility issues I can't be 100% sure but I don't believe there is accommodation on the ground floor, nor is there a lift, I would assume that two flights of stairs to the first floor would need to be achievable but I would definitely contact the hotel - the owners are lovely and could advise and accommodate wherever possible.

"Rooms at the front would have the best views, obviously."
"The rooms with the bay windows and the views are worth it!"
