The hotel has an air of faded glory but with elegant public rooms, cozy - and warm - bedrooms and comfortable beds. The food and wine are superb and the staff are genuinely delightful and helpful. We have a lovely weekend and will return.

My wife and I stayed at this location for two nights and were very impressed with the whole experience. The staff, accommodation and dining were the best we have come across over the years and would certainly recommend it to others. We had a Master Loch View bedroom and The view across Loch Awe was amazing. Thank you to all...

we thought this looked a lovely hotel. We soon discovered how wrong we were. This was a birthday gift for my partner's children. The room was cold. The bathroom had a hand held shower which was uncontrollable. The good points were, the dinner was great and the staff were excellent. We felt very disappointed as the decor and carpets were...

Simply loved it from the fun of telephoning to book it speaking with a cheerful and helpful lady, to being warmly greeted by the staff and warming up in front of the huge library log fire. The hotel is lovely, the setting is spectacular on the side of the loch and the feature rooms are simply fabulous. Then there is...

We stayed at Ardanaiseig quite a while ago, but I still dream about it. I count the days until I can return. If you're not looking for privacy with glorious lake views, you should stay somewhere else. Ardanaiseig is the ultimate romantic destination. It's a bit of a drive getting there (10 miles on very out-of-the-way roads), but it's a...

I could wax lyrical about the Ardanaiseig all day. What a place! I honestly cannot think of anything negative to report. The building itself is stunning, with an interior tastefully decorated to suit the style and setting. The room we had was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Staff were outstanding, from the welcome to departure. I am a veggie and was...

Stayed here in May 2009. Very romantic. Fantastic grounds. Excellent food. Beautiful interior. Idea for a honeymoon. I am an author and I used my visit for a scene in my newly published novel 'The D Word' (by Joanna Warrington). The book was number 6 in the Amazon charts in the family/relationship section over Christmas. My book describes the bedroom,...

Spent two nights at Ardanaseig hotel staying in the Rose Cottage. My son and his fiancée had chosen it for the venue for their marriage so there were nine of us at the hotel. The organisation for the wedding was excellent and both the setting and the décor were superb. The Rose cottage is set up for self catering and...

Just back from two fabulous nights at Ardanaiseig for a relaxing pre-christmas treat. Everything was lovely - huge comfortable bed, lovely traditional decor, roaring fires in the public rooms and very welcoming friendly staff. The best part was the food we had the delicious 7 course taster menu both nights and breakfast was also superb and the views from the...

First return visit since our honeymoon in 1998. Ardanaiseig is a very special place in an outstanding setting. We really enjoyed our few days in Scotland......but it could be even better and these comments are intended to offer genuine constructive feedback and ideas for improvement: - love the cosy feel, log fires, peacefulness, library bar etc. - we stayed in...
