Beautiful surroundings and the staff were so lovely and attentive. It really is a magical part of the world. Thank you to Shona, Dave, Steve & Hugh for making it such a memorable stay. We especially enjoyed the archery and hope to return one day very soon.

A very pleasant hotel in a nice setting. However I'm not sure it's worth the price tag - the room (albeit one of the less pricey ones) was nice enough, but nothing particularly special, and I've stayed in very-much-cheaper B&Bs that seemed more luxurious. The grounds are pretty, but if you're hit by typical west-coast weather there isn't a great...

We stayed at Ardanaiseig last week for a romantic two-night break - which turned out to be very romantic indeed, as my boyfriend proposed. It was the perfect location, with stunning scenery taking in Loch Awe and the mountains beyond, with beautiful grounds to walk in. The hotel itself is an old Campbell residence with a fascinating history, now a...

We had wonderful night here with a loch view room and breakfast in bed. Staff were friendly and our stay was very relaxing. Evening meal was delicious, and the bar was well stocked. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We spent two nights here on a b&b break through Secret Escapes. The hotel is quite remote, a ten mile drive along a single track road with passing places but in a lovely setting in manicured gardens and woodland beside Loch Awe. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay with a range of tea bags/instant coffee/hot chocolate...

Lovely and romantic, it meets all your expectations of staying in a manor on the highlands. It is a shame though that the hotel is not properly looked after. Though clean and charming, it is clear not a lot is done to keep the place up. Nice staff but all of them worked there for only a few weeks, which...

This Hotel is what I would describe as one of the most beautifull and valuable hideways we have ever been to. directly located at the shores of a lake with a pure natural surrounding. The Hotel itself and the Service is as well as you would expect from such a 11very private romantic Hotel. We where flashed of the total...

We've just returned from a lovely break to celebrate our anniversary. Ardanaseig is a fairytale place next to beautiful Loch Awe. Fabulous traditional country house, we had the most gorgeous room and waking up to the view of the loch was amazing. The light across the water and surrounding mountains make for a stunning location. Friendly welcoming team of staff...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In a quiet place of undisturbed tranquility and almost surreal natural beauty, where the slopes of Ben Cruachan fall into the clear waters of loch Awe, lies a deeply romantic and luxurious old country house called Ardanaiseig. In a 19th-century manor house on 120 acres beside Loch Awe, this luxury hotel is 21 miles from the ruined Kilchurn Castle and 22 miles from Ben Cruachan. Elegant rooms offer loch or garden views and feature antique furnishings. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, tea and coffee making facilities, and designer Scottish toiletries. There is also a separate glass-fronted loch side Boatshed suite and a 2-bedroom cottage. An acclaimed restaurant serves upmarket, seasonal dishes. Full Scottish breakfast and afternoon tea are available, and other amenities include boat rentals, croquet and bikes. ... more   less
