What a disappointing welcome. We were one day late arriving because the ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. We rang ahead to tell them we would not be arriving until the following day. They insisted on charging for the first night even though we weren't there and even took

Hi stuartkellett253 It is always so disappointing when a guest leaves having not fully enjoyed their stay as we do greatly care about what we do. Unfortunately we were completely fully booked for the 2 nights you were staying and had turned away several bookings so were unable to completely waive the cancellation fee. It is also our standard policy to charge the deposit card which is used to secure the booking if guests fail to check in however I'm glad this was resolved on your departure. We do sincerely hope to welcome you back to The Carradale Hotel one day. Kind regards Caroline

What a difference Rhona and daughter Cara have made to this wee hotel! Lovely friendly welcome. Our room was Arran which was very spacious and beautifully finished. Great food all round...especially the breakfast. Will definitely be back again next year! Thank you.

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the Kintyre Way. When we arrived we had been walking for 5 hours in torrential rain and the welcome we got was just what we needed. Very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely, comfortable room. We even had all our wet clothes washed

Hi Pamela F Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We often find that the those out walking the Kintyre Way in less favourable conditions need some extra TLC which we are more than happy to provide. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the future. Kind regards Caroline

Hi Alistair, Yes you can bring your dog. We are dog friendly in the public bar, lounge bar and conservatory You can eat in all three areas. Dogs can be in your room but not left unattended. in fact we have 3 lovely dogs staying tonight. Rhona Erskine

Hi Archibaldthornton1. The new owners are myself and my mother. We originally come from Glasgow however totally fell in love with Kintyre many years ago and always wanted to move here. When the opportunity arose to start our own business here it was too good to miss out on! We are not a chain, we are still a small family run business, in fact it is not only myself and my mother who are here, my daughter and my grandmother have also moved to Carradale. If you are ever in the area please pop in and say hello. We are slowly making changes and tastefully modernising and improving many of the dated features. Caroline :)
