I booked Carradale Hotel for a small party for my husband's 40th Birthday. We had a beautiful meal with family before the party in the lounge bar. All the open coal fires were lit, lovely atmosphere and great service. The food was brilliant. The party was great also, Rhona and Cara were very helpful with all the planning. A great... More

Stayed at the hotel prior to moving into our new home. Having had problems with the move could not have found the new owners more helpful. Saved a room for us for an extra night, got up early to make breakfast. Made us tea and coffee and let us use the Internet whilst they were closed. A really friendly place,... More

Dinner out at the Carradale Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent food and great conversation with new owners. If your looking for top quality without the formality I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here for a couple of nights to attend a family wedding locally. The staff were so friendly and helpful, absolutely faultless. Room was just what we needed but a little dated, not that it bothered us. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and cooked fresh to order, served a little late on the Sunday just for us, what... We have just spent a week in Carradale, found this bar on our first night and spent the next six eating and drinking there. The food was excellent and the hospitality of the new owners likewise. Would recommend this hotel and bar to anyone visiting the area. Added bonus was dog friendly.

My wife and I have been coming to the hotel for an evening meal for years. Sometimes good sometimes not so good. Last week we arrived and found that the hotel has new owners, changed that very day. Staff were unsure if they had food to serve! After a while we did find something on the reduced menu and it... More

What a find, fantastic food in a lovely location with great beaches nearby and the spectacular backdrop of Arran. Great service from the new owners who only took over three days ago. Superb menu for dinner and everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The breakfast was excellent to in the lounge with views towards the Isle of Arran. Well... More

This hotel has to be one of the worst that I've visited. It started with the very unpleasant smell in the car park of rotting fish. I think it may have been from the refrigerated delivery van parked there. Dinner was a mixed bag. Whilst the food was acceptable the atmosphere was unpleasant. One woman was complaining loudly about the... More

My friend and I arrived at 10am having cycled from Claonaig after catching the 0815 ferry. Breakfast had been "cleared away" and nothing was offered. The hotelier was rude and declined to inform us where else in Carradale might offer refreshments to hungry cyclists. It did not help that the other establishments we had passed were closed (2) or not... More

Thank you for taking your time to write a review. A few small points to make. You had in fact arrived at 10.10am without making a breakfast reservation. If you had phoned that morning we would have been happy to accommodate you. Breakfast is served to residents and customers (who make bookings) daily between 8am and 10am. The last person... More
