We had steak, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The desserts were tastey and oh so light, a lovely finish to our dinner, all served in a warm and calm dinning room. Highly recommended, but do phone and book, as covers are limited.

Grant and his family (including his youngest son) went the extra mile to make us and our Australian friends feel very welcome in their home. His small bar had a range of real ales and massive stock of specialist whiskies from around the world. Braemar residents clearly value the hospitality and ambience and use the bar as their local pub...

A lovely little hotel in Braemar with an excellent bar that has a fine selection of whiskies. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in was excellent, comfy and cosy, with a decent strength shower en suite. A nice touch was that the room didn't have a television, but there is a well appointed communal lounge where...

Hi Russell We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. The menu is kept small as everything is cooked fresh to order but it is changed on a daily basis so choice is not kept the same, plenty of variety if you are here for a longer stay. Kind Regards Maria & Grant

Having never stayed here before I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The owner met us and showed us around and could not have been more helpful. The room I had was comfortable and well sized and although there are no tv's in the rooms there is great wi-fi and a tv lounge for residents. We...

We stayed for two nights over Easter and had a lovely time. Having forgotten to check what time check in was, we turned up to just in case. We were welcomed by Grant who informed us that check in wasn't for another hour but as our room was ready we were welcome to go up which was very accommodating. Our...

This Hotel changed hands fairly recently. It has been refurbished well. After drinks in the friendly bar and choosing from the menu we were taken through to the dining room where we had an excellent meal. We only had a main course which we all enjoyed. A good experience had by all. We'll be back, especially as they serve Strongbow...

Stumbled across this hotel and what a gem. The hosts were so friendly. The atmosphere very cosy and the food delicious. Our room wasn't huge but well laid out and the bed very comfortable. This is somewhere we will definitely return to.

Great cozy atmosphere, very warm welcome from Grant and Maria. Whole guest house is recently renovated to a very high standard. Breakfast and dinner were of a very high standard. Bedroom was clean and well equipped with a great shower and hairdryer. Great location and all areas of Braemar are easily accessible and the pub downstairs is no problem at...

Yet another delicious dinner at the family run Moorfield hotel. The owners deliberately keep numbers low to ensure smooth service so book ahead. We all enjoyed beautifully fresh cooked food. We will definately be back.
