We dropped in late one winter Friday afternoon, planning to spend three nights in Tarbert but only asked for a room for one as we like to keep our options open in case of uncomfortable beds or noisy neighbours. However, we liked it so much that we went to book our next two nights at breakfast the next morning, only...

I've been coming here for many years, previously venturing no further than the beautiful bar and excellent restaurant. My partner and I decided to stay overnight after a function, earlier this month; and found that the standard of accommodation absolutely complemented the general excellence of this lovely, family run, hotel. Prior to the (function) meal, I had made enquiries as...

I stayed here for one night this week and am glad I did. Staff were great, food was absolutely wonderful, food in the Islands is of a high standard anyway but this was the best I've tasted in a long time. Don't know what the other rooms are like but room 9 was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. This is...

We stayed here four nights and were very pleased with the comfort of the hotel and especially the high quality of the food in the restaurant. Although the menu din't change, there was no problem in finding something different and everything we ate was delicious. The hotel is not a sophisticated place and the public rooms maybe need a bit...

Really liked this hotel, very cosy with friendly and helpful staff. We were out early every morning and then back for a late breakfast and then off with a packed lunch. Nice bar and small lounge, and a larger glass fronted sitting area. The quality of the food was good, but the menu remained the same throughout the week. Would...

Our room was spacious for our 3 nights B&B, although we had to change our booking due to a family bereavement (postponing 3 days) which meant there was no double room available. The twin room was suitable for our needs, clean and tidy, but the twin beds weren't as comfy as perhaps a double would have been. We're not complaining...

After deciding to stay here rather than the over designed Hotel Hebrides we fell for the charm of the Harris Hotel. Admittedly the place does need to be modernised but as you relax and just connect with the place there is something about this hotel that draws you in and you start to love the old place. Andy and his...
