Amazing, amazing, amazing! loved it! Friendly staff, couldn't have made this any better. We were met by Lisa, who showed us to our sea view room, worth the extra, furnished well, with amazing view. This turned out to be the last night of trading for 2012, and it was fab, we felt privileged to have Chris cook for us, Norrie...

We chose Sconser Lodge based on the mainly favourable reviews and in the main we were not disappointed. The service from the two owners and the man who ran the bar and restaurant whilst we were there was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so welcoming. The first evening we had just a snack of cheese and...

Beautiful location, and very nice old lodge. The common areas area a particular joy of this hotel. There is a stately paneled breakfast/dinner room. And an almost-as-nice pub area that we enjoyed spending time in. We had dinner at the hotel the night of our stay which was good and the views from a window table were great. The common...

The Sconser Lodge is right on the sea, so that you can walk right outside to see the view, dip your toes in the water, collect shells, etc--a breathatking location. The room was comfy and the restaurant/bar was cozy and warm, with delicious food. When I read reviews about the warm hospitality of the hosts, I felt a little worried--I...

From the moment you check in you are treated like a long lost friend. Food excellent. When making the booking I was advised that there would be a group of motorcyclists staying, who were wonderful and such a diverse mix. On the second night "In house entertainment" well Norrey, the bar man, played the guitar and sang, such talent and...

We were on an R.E.I.adventure trip and stayed at Sconser Lodge for three nights. The accomodations were lovely, the water view from our room was outstanding and the food was simply amazing. They were able to accomodate every persons' unique dietary needs and made substitutions with delicious fare. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who loves good food and...

We were made very welcome by the owners Lisa and Craig. Everyone, including the other guests, were very friendly. I just kept thinking of the hotel in the EM Forster book/Merchant Ivory film, 'Room with a View'. It was nothing like that in terms of location in any other physical way, but just had some essence of it, perhaps it...

My wife and I stayed here for one night this month (September 2012). We were warmly welcomed and showed to our room, which was a good size, comfortable, and (most importantly to my wife) had a good sized tub. We did not eat dinner there but based on the breakfast we had the next morning, I'm sure we would have...

We are 4 hardy/brave young men in pursuit of hard climbing challenge during day and relaxing evenings. This year there was a slight delay in organising, so we didn't get our first choice accommodation, instead we took what we thought would be second best - Sconser Lodge. Well, we couldn't have been further from the truth, this place rocks especially...

On arriving at the Sconser lodge on a cold wet August day we were met by Lisa who showed us our rooms. Both very nice, one was the 4 poster and the other the side view. Both had good views of the sea. We went back down to the lounge to discuss what we would do the next day and...
