Margaret and Hamish are the perfect hosts! There's a double room with it's own ensuite and a twin room with a private bathroom next door. You have your own private lounge with tea/coffee facilities plus fridge and a stunning view of Portree Bay, you can also see most of the Old Man of Storr and if you go for a...

This was my second visit to Penifiler. Margaret and Hamish welcomed us warmly as they would old friends. Their home is on a working farm overlooking Portree Harbour. In fact the view from the dining room is spectacular and worth the visit all by itself. In terms of location, it is just a short drive into Portree for meals and...

At the other side of Loch Portree and at the end of the cul de sac, you will find a B&B with a tremendous view on Portree and till Old Man of Store at the horizon. Well located to the main road A87 to commute easily from town to town. Hamish & Margaret are really kind people. We discussed a...

We stayed here for one night in august 2014. Hamish and Margaret are lovely people and really helpful. As many other said bfore us; the view from the breakfast room was stunning! We saw the sunset at night, and foggy mountains in the morning. Awesome! Breakfast was great and when we left Margaret even gave us some muffins. So sweet!...

Lovely b&b, nice quiet location, comfy room with en-suit, and very good selection for breakfast. Made to feel very welcome in their home, would highly recommend it to anyone. Ideal location to explore the island.

We stayed with Hamish & Margaret for 3 days. You won't find friendlier people and a quieter b&b. Immaculate room, fantastic breakfast & view. A dram of Dalmore with Hamish on our last might we will return. Regards Ian & Sandy.

We spent just one night (unfortunately) here last week on a road trip of Scotland. Skye itself is a real gem but this B and B was wonderful. Dont let it being out of Portree put you off - its 5 mins in the car and the views across the bay are superb. The room was lovely and we had...

We enjoyed our stay so very much! Penifiler is in a delightful location just minutes from Portree. The view through the picture window while eating Margaret & Hamish's scrumptious and very (!) hearty breakfasts is superb, as well as interesting. We experienced a great deal of warmth, wonderful hospitality, and very comfortable accommodations - as well as a wealth of...

A bit out of the way for the gps, but the reward for perseverance is a lovely cosy farmhouse with views of the bay all around and friendly people. However, the host could have been a bit more helpful, and the en-suite was tiny, but clean. Portree is very small, not very much to do. We still enjoyed relaxing moments...

Situated in the remote hills across the Loch Portree overlooking the town of Portree, this wee farmhouse has only a limited number of rooms for occupation but how special they are. The atmosphere is wonderful and the hospitality unmatched. The warm, trusting and friendly approach by the owners has to be sampled. A lounge for guests' use is stocked with...
