Detailed Reviews
We rented this through Islands and Highlands Cottages as a self catering holiday rental. We could not have been happier. The house itself is lovely. Kitchen is perfectly outfitted with everything you need. Bathrooms are spacious and nice with plenty of water pressure. There are rooms and rooms and more rooms so plenty to spread out. The grounds have a gorgeous garden and a walk down to the Loch. The location was perfect...close enough to everything but still giving the feeling of being in the country. We could not have been happier here.

We had two nights at Kinloch Follart. This beautiful old manse has been lovingly restored and was a blissful haven. Jonathan was a brilliant host and he was very gracious with his time and passing on his knowledge of the Isle. We appreciated his advice regarding dinner suggestions and reservations. We really would have liked to stay longer - just for the comfy bed and beautiful breakfast.

A beautiful house, well presented and friendly owners. Ben and Jon made us feel very at home and comfortable. We stayed in "The Sutherland" room on the top floor, the view from the window was breathtaking and the room quite and comfortable. Each morning at breakfast we would discuss the day's activities and Ben and Jon helped us out with planning how to get to see/experience all the best bits of Skye in our 4 days there. I would love to return next year to see the rest and will definitely be back to Kinloch Follart.

Just came back a week ago from a wonderful trip de Scotland (1 month) and I would like to comment about this Paradise located in Skye Island, This B&B Kinlochfollart was to my surprise one the highlight of my vacations. Beautiful, confortable and amazing owners always ready to help with such kindness. This house is super clean, quiet with a breakfast area with a superb view. My bedroom had also an amazing view and so confortable. If you go to Skye Island this place is a must!!! typical scottish surroundings and thanks to Ben and John those 2 amazing men!xxx

Thoroughly recommend Kinloch Follart for a family holiday. Have just spent a very relaxing week enjoying the fantastic views, colours, walks and great restaurants found on Skye.
The rooms are all very comfortable with the most amazing views and we enjoyed lots of great meals in the dining room.
We also made good use of the table tennis table, piano and the extensive library of books.
We all want to return

We had a wonderful three night stay at Kinloch Follart. I stayed in "The Stewart", which had stunning views both from the bedroom, and the private bathroom.
Ben and Jon are fantastic hosts, and the breakfasts are among the best breakfasts I've ever had.
I can't recommend this B&B enough. Such friendly hosts, with excellent to detail.
Oh, and their tips on where to visit whilst we were there were spot on.

We were utterly charmed with every detail at Kinloch Follart. The old vicarage has been updated with taste and style, yet keeps it's heritage feel intact. Our hosts Jonathan and Ben were so efficient and attentive, but also so interesting and warm. These gentlemen know how to make people feel welcome and pampered.
Their breakfasts are in a glass enclosed room with views of the sea and an upcoming garden in the making of beautiful proportions. The salmon is the very best I have ever tasted and I have had a lot of sampling! It is exquisite and you must make sure to order it!!
I cannot recommend this too much; we absolutely loved our stay there.

We stayed at the Kinloch Follart for two nights in mid of Sep. The room was nicely decorated and the shared bathroom wasn't an issue for us. Johnathan and Ben were really friendly and accommodating, they prepared cookies and tea in our bedroom and provided clean towers for us everyday. There is a great choice for breakfast and the portion is huge! It is only 15min drive to the Neist Point which I strongly suggest anyone who stays at Kinloch Follart should visit. For those driving here (which I think is the best option to come here as it is hard to find the house without a car), I do suggest you get a car that comes with a GPS navigation system as we realize the area doesn't have the best signal on phone data navigation. Only thing to point out is we stayed at The Sutherland room which is basically the attic of the house, is much smaller and we constantly have to bend our head to walk to the coffee table due to the sloping walls (we are 5'2 and 5'4").

Incredibly comfortable bed, excellent breakfasts, great location and wonderful, charming hosts. This stylish accommodation brings American level B&B quality and service that complements the beautiful Isle of Skye. Thoroughly recommended.

We were guests at Kinloch Follart for two nights in September. Based on the website alone, we had high expectations prior to arrival. We were not disappointed...in fact, our hopes were exceeded in every way. Jonathan and Ben are warm and generous hosts, and meticulous in all details. From the beautiful interiors, the lovely garden, the delicious breakfasts, and the kindness in calling ahead for dinner reservations, they rise above even the best B&Bs. They have an eye for comfortable elegance which maintains the historical integrity of the property while still making the weary traveler feel at home. Our only regret was that we spent so much time exploring the island that we didn't spend as much time at Kinloch Follart as we would have liked! Selfishly, I am also a bit torn about writing a review...the B&B is still relatively new and thus not as well known as some. I don't think this will last long! It seems that everyone who stays here are as enchanted as we were, and with all the fantastic reviews, booking availability will become hard to come by! However, as much as I'd like to guard our "discovery" for future holidays, I am very happy to join others in thanking our hosts for their wonderful hospitality and spreading the word! Thank you, Jonathan and Ben, for making Skye even more magical for us and we wish you continued success!
