Can't fault the friendliness of the people when we stopped by to get some takeaway fish & chips. Waited in the reception area when it was being cooked and was quite shocked by some of the health & safety there! The TV was plugged into an extension lead that was connected to another one and there were leads everywhere! Anyway...

Misty Isle Hotel was hands down the best place we stayed at during our trip to Scotland. Alan is just the best host! He made us breakfast in the morning, gave us great advice on what to see and do in Scotland and is overall a great person to hang out with. Rooms are new, spacious and very well-equipped. Also...

My friends and I were on an ambitious camping trip around Isle of Skye, when unfortunate weather struck that did not quite match our lack of waterproof supplies. It was during the high season and everything was booked out, but the owner of Misty Isle generously offered to let us stay in a cozy spare room not typically available to...

Had several drinks over a 10 day visit camping. Don't be put off by its run down appearance the staff and locals are really friendly and chatty, live sports on TV and a pool table to entertain you. Didn't eat but did see others and the food looked great, locals were coming in for meals to take out , must...

imagine you enter a david lynch or coehn's brothers movie. When you overcome the first impact you can relax and still say that beside old fashioned furniture and strange people this is still a place you can have regular meal and bedroom.

I travelled with a Kiwi friend and being from Germany myself we had a smashing night in Misty in the company of people from Australia, US, Canada, New Zealand and of course local islanders. The interior of the bar is following the main theme of the place and therefor a carefully hand selected collection of rustique and authentic items. The...

If all,you want is a good wholesome plate of food with no frills this is it. Full sized pool table,tv,and a warm welcome . We and other travellers were well looked after when we turned up on Sunday evening of the World Cup. Made very welcome . Very good service and a good crack was had by all. Smashing.!

Alan is AWESOME. Really, all the staff and regulars we met at the Misty Isle made us feel so welcome, we would definitely go back. The hotel is still in the process of being renovated, but our beds were clean and comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was great. I should probably note that we didn't plan to...
