Staff are friendly and very busy.
Food and breakfast are fantastic.
My room was small but very nice and cosy. They automatically reduced the room rate when I had to travel on my own which was unexpected and very kind of them like the electrical switch for the bathroom a general paint of the bathroom and the fact my room wasn't made up after my first night's stay. But this may have been due to me having the room key, even if I would expect they would have more than one key.
But apart from these small issues I loved it and will return. Emma is a credit to the hotel and is a fast worker, cheery, efficient and has excellent customer care. More Emmas and this hotel would be exceptional.

Stayed for 2 nights last week, and had an enjoyable stay. Room was reasonably small, but the bed was huge(!!) and had a lovely view across Tobermory Bay.

Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful with anything you asked. Covid measures were to wear masks around the hotel, and hand sanitiser was located in multiple locations downstairs which was helpful. (I even purchased one of their “back to norMULLity” face masks!)

We had 2 breakfasts and 1 meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was decent - ordered the day before with a specific time to make it easier with social distancing, although did seem a little unorganised in the morning, hearing several tables chase up missing aspects. That being said, food was good and sensible sized portions.

Our meal in the restaurant was fantastic. Between us we had the Salmon starter, followed by the battered haddock and the burger. Both were huge and couldn’t be finished, but they were delicious. Homemade burger and very fresh fish. (Have included photos) Would recommend eating in restaurant even if not staying in hotel.

What stopped it being 5 star were a few points in the room in particular that could do with upgrading - just little things like stains on one of the seats and carpet etc. It’s clearly a very old building and while it didn’t bother us, you can head into other rooms/outside which could be an issue if a light sleeper.

Overall it was a really enjoyable stay in a quaint hotel on the Main Street in Tobermory. Would recommend!

We firstly visited the Tobermory hotel for an afternoon hot drink following a boat trip which left us feeling rather cold! We were greeted with a smile and welcome and the service was excellent even suggested adding in a baileys to the hot chocolate which was most welcome. The hot chocolate could have done with being a tad warmer, but on the whole a good experience.

We then visited again for a pre booked dinner, this experience wasn't quite so good, we went to choose our food off the menu, which apparently had changed from the one advertised on their website and was primarily fish (which I understand due to its locality, however, the website needs to be updated with the correct menu). As we are not fish eaters we decided to eat at the local pub instead.

Our third visit was for our one night stay. We arrived fairly late (7.15 pm) having been out all day, we were shown to our room, all the windows were open but we did notice an unpleasant smell to it. Knowing we needed to shower and get to our dinner booking for 8.00 pm at the local pub, we litterally jumped in the shower and rushed out, having closed all the windows behind us. After dinner we stopped in the bar of the Tobermory to have a drink eventually going up to our room just after 10.00 pm. As we walked in the room the smell just hit us, there was no way we could sleep in there. So my husband went to see the Manager, who was very apologetic offering us a drink which we declined. He said he didn't know what to do he was fully booked, he had one room, but the person hadn't arrived yet, he then went to try to get hold of the person. A few minutes later he came back up to ask us to pack up and we could move to an alternative accommodation up the road, whilst we were packing he came back up to say the other person wasn't now coming to the other room and we could move to that instead. The manager was extremely apologetic the whole time and said he would get someone in the next day to look at the problem. The room we moved to was slightly smaller, but no smell and had the most comfortable bed.

The hotel looks like it has been refurbished recently, carpets and bathrooms looked modern and new. The only one criticism of the ensuites are that neither room had opaque windows and had no curtain or blinds. I personally would prefer a bathroom with either opaque glass or blinds.

Breakfast were good well cooked and well served.

I gave the four star rating because overall I felt it was better than 3 stars despite the issues which were resolved.

terrible smell in bedroom (physically stank!!!) staff thought diffusers would solve it! However with windows wide open it was still overpowering.

health and safety was an issue in the room, TV cables had to stretch alongside kettle (how they set up the kettle) also along a low ceiling 4ft in height which was a huge hazard, photos taken.

A lack of plugs / sockets in room to charge phone near bed. moved the bed carefully to plug in my lead but one of the plastic legs of the bed fell off. At the back of the headboard found small bits of food and some else’s old dirty face flannel. As directed in a notice on the bathroom we put the dirty flannel (from previous guests) in the shower tray as they claimed they replace them with clean ones.

When we returned our 2 face flannels and the dirty face flannel from other guests (from under the bed) were all rolled up and we could tell which was which! Needles to say we could use any. One can only imagine what was on it having being discarded under the bed?

Upon checking out with reception half of the concerns were not recorded, we were told the owners would be contacted but conveniently we had no feedback.

Staff did advice the problem was a damp floor, but fail to recognise you can’t expect guests to stay in a room that smells like a rotten drain. Sleeping in a foul smelling room (which also hadn’t been cleaned properly) was a really negative experience.

A two nights stay was £400 (with one evening meal) The room was outdated, as other reviews suggest, terrible value for money, and cleanliness was shocking!.

Tonight we’re staying in a premier inn for £35 it’s bigger, its equipped without health & safety issues, modern, spacious, much much more clean & comfortable.

Stayed here for one night on our west coast road trip for our 25th wedding anniversary, beautiful little hotel with stunning views of the bay.

Covid precautions were in place with adequate table spacing etc.

Room was great with an amazing view, staff throughout the hotel could not have been more helpful.

Had the most fantastic evening meal and drinks, a great nights sleep followed by a fantastic breakfast.

If I could give this hotel more than 10/10 I probably would, a note to the hotel owners, you have a gem of a place here with great staff, to make it even better, the only thing you need to do is put some power showers in the room as if I’m being really picky, it’s the only thing that would enhance the stay even more.

Well done on offering great accommodation and service!

Booked this hotel last minute after walking out of the dusgustung Isle of Mull hotel and Spa. The staff couldn't have been more helpful

They managed to accommodate us in a double room and even popped in an additional z-bed as our preference is twin beds

The room was spotlessly clean and although not en-suite we had the sole use of a bathroom directly opposite which was recently refurbished and a lovely spacious bathroom with bath and shower

Under Covid-19 the breakfast was pretty order . Great choice and didn't disappoint.

We had a lovely stay and I'll never forget the fresh smell that lingers round the hotel

We even purchased their own branded face masks 😷

this is the pink hotel facing the harbour of Tobermory. It is about thirty minutes drive if you turn right off the ferry at Craignure. We got a early ferry and took the left turn off the ferry and took a scenic drive around the island for about five hours , with lots of stops on route , castle, sheep , highland cattle, white sands of Calgary beach ,(pick up a map before u head off from tourist office at craignure). There are lots of parking bays along the harbour in front of the hotel ( free of charge). harbour has a few restaurants , spice of mill Indian ( ok), a little fish cheap outside dining at top end of harbour( left hotel), and Staffa tours boat five min walk on right of harbour/ hotel( brilliant trip to see puffins). We had a room with a view of harbour.Room was basic but clean , with a modern bathroom. We found the bed to be small and uncomfortable ( slatted base), if that was a larger quality bed we would give the place 10/10.Room also had a tiny rack for clothes but ok for a short stay. The staff were super friendly and breakfast was nice. They had a restaurant serving fish but couldn’t eat there as partner doesn’t like fish.We did have a few coffees and bears in their cosy lounge ( which had log fires) , but the fish smells from the restaurant next door wafted through( they need some powerful extractor fans) .Overall we totally enjoyed our three days here.It is a wonderful island and hope to be back one day

The hotel sits in a prime location on the main street with beautiful views over the sea front. Paid more than we usually would to have a sea view room. Our first impressions were surprise at how small the room is. However, it had a bed and all we needed. We booked local, popular restaurants in advance so as not to be disappointed, a tip we would highly recommend, especially for Cafe Fish and Mishnish. The one night we hadn't booked out we ate in the hotel. Our meals were shockingly bad. Greasy, over cooked, tasteless. It was also the most expensive meal of our stay. In fact, the only disappointing meal in Tobermory.
It's such a shame, after a very difficult time with hospitality suffering more than many other sectors. However, it does feel here that they are struggling and seriously need to sort out what's happening in the kitchen. The competition in the village is very strong with other excellent choices to eat and attractive B&Bs at a fraction of the price with exactly the same aspect of the bay.

£145 for bed and breakfast they said. Thankfully it was my company that paid it because I certainly wouldn't
£145 for room with separate bathroom. Room in the eves of the building along with separate bathroom in the eves.
In room, only half the room can be used as you cant stand up straight in the other half. Scabby/sad looking leather chair in the corner. Had to access bed from one side, due to eves. Marks on walls look like blood splatter. Tatty old carpet. The place was just unclean.
A robe could be used to go into the common hallway and walk across to the bathroom. Slippers also provided, but looked as if they had been used previously and placed in a plastic bag for my use.

I am only 5 foot 8 tall and could only stand at the sink. Standing at the lavatory was a no go. I had to stand with my head and shoulders at a slant to use the facilities. To get access to the shower which was in the bath was only achievable by bending in half due to the eves. Standing in the shower my head was on the roof and the shower was at its maximum height. Unfortunately I was unable to get any water on my body without bending in all sorts of ways to achieve this.
I am relatively fit but God help anyone not as supple.

Breakfast was ok but accommodation was appalling and not worth the price
