We booked for two but stayed for three nights as we enjoyed the hotel, its staff and Mull so much. Yes the hotel is in need of refurbishment and yes you will notice the bumps, scratches and creaking joints of this old gal of a hotel on the hill but she is a charming old dear and if you visit...

One of the letters written by the owners in the bedroom guest folder suggests that you are paying over the odds as a contribution to the extensive repairs and upgrades that are required to bring the hotel back to the standards it used to enjoy. All well and good but for the high price charged one expects to be given...

Having looked at the reviews before we booked, it was actually worse than expected. We were travelling around the South West coast, staying overnight at various locations so were able to sample other hotels/restaurants in Scotland and therefore compare standards and pricing. The hotel is tired, dated, with worn out furniture, peeling wallpaper and beds and bathrooms which should have...

This hotel has a lovely old feel to it and is full of character with the most amazing and beautiful views. The hotel is apparently undergoing a complete makeover and refresh. And in part this is much needed. The decor is tired as is some of the furniture. For instance the chest of drawers in our bedroom could not be...

The hotel is situated almost at the top of a hill overlooking Tobermory Worth the effort! Even when you're pushing a wheelchair This hotel though not any use for 99% of less mobile people When I booked it and asked about wheelchair access I was told the room was on 1 level!! Which they ment on the 1st floor an...

We stayed in Glen Turret, the "suite" in the turret. It was huge, had delightful views and was very comfortable. I loved reading about the history and plans for the future in the Hotel information book that was in the room. Breakfast was fabulous (don't think I've stayed in a hotel before where you could add shelled pistachios to your...

The hotel is very traditional and clearly has never been subject to a complete refurbishment. It is obvious that small bits of improvement and repair have been carried out as and when required over a long period of time. This results in the general state of the place as being rough around the edges. The open fire and stags heads...

Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated . Comfy bed. Room was at back of hotel so didn't have the awesome views the front rooms do but the bar/restaurant and breakfast room had the views over the Sound of Mull everyone raves about. Hotel has an imposing position on a steep hill above the town so maybe not great for disabled...

We stayed at here for three glorious nights. The room with a view overlooking the bay was a delight: the varied weather of the highlands was like a stage show set before us. The beds were large and comfortable and the wonderful sea air made for a great sleep. The breakfast was very good too. I especially enjoyed the smoked...

This is a hotel with some history and what looks like a promising future! With lots of decorating and refurbishing going on, this is a busy place. The main entrance is impressive and warm, with the Hotel dog greeting us by the open fire, and friendly staff checking us in. The restaurant has stunning views over the harbor. The private...
