We stayed for two evenings in June. Describing it as a B&B is misleading. It is lovely. The decor and furnishings are exceptional. The welcome was friendly, our room and view was excellent. Even fresh ground coffee and a cafetière in the room. Everything was really clean and COVID safe. The shower leaked a bit but a minor issue. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious My only one complaint was the noise from the bar, at closing time everyone seemed to be allowed to stand outside finishing their drinks and the noise was awful. No sign of the staff moving them on. There were bottles lined up outside in the morning so I know this was the case. Also, there is a lovely beer garden and we wanted to sit outside but we were only allowed bottled beer outside. We wanted to try the Islay Ales but they were on tap. I understand the glass issue but invest in some good quality plastic ones. The pictures on the web show lovely drinks in the garden. All in all probably the best place to stay on the island but don’t go when there’s a football competition on.

This place was perfect. Beautiful hotel, rooms, hospitality and such friendly helpful owners. Breakfast was brilliant and we can’t fault anything except the covid restrictions shutting their well stocked bar😰lol.

Where better to start than the excellent warm welcome, the staff at reception were amazing, very welcoming and knowledgeable when it comes to things to do on Isla. The room was fantastic, large, bright and very accommodating, the refreshment tray was well stocked too, nothing was forgotten about, every need was catered for. Breakfast was faultless, it was fantastic, better than fantastic, food was excellently prepared, tasted amazing and service was excellent. Parking possed no problems what so ever, plenty spaces at the front and rear. The hotel is an excellent price for the service recieved and in a great location. If there were a downside then it was the bar and kitchen not being open, but due to current covid restrictions I cant really blame them. Over all 11/10, 100% be back soon.

My husband and I stayed at No. 1 Charlotte Street for a couple of nights while on Islay. We were given a warm friendly welcome by the host - she checked us in and showed us to our room and gave us all the necessary information. Breakfast was cooked to order and made with high quality ingredients. As the hotel wasn’t very busy, we were told the bar would be closed for the duration of our stay - however during our stay they offered to open the bar, once they were aware of my husband’s love of whisky! We were treated really well throughout, and would highly recommend staying here!

We spent a four night stay here. The room was spacious with a huge bed. The hotel is in a great location with new problems for parking. The breakfast is excellent and the staff courteous and helpful throughout. We'll be back.
