great host good size comfortable room. Very good breakfasts each day. B&b is only 1 minute walk to ferry. Islay is a small island and is easy to explore by car. The B&b is on the main road in the town but is very quiet and has free on street parking outside.

I have just left islay, I stayed at the trout and fly b&b and I will definitely stay here again when back on islay. The owners were absolutely outstanding in offering everything you need going above and beyond. Lovely house warm and welcoming and very clean great rooms. Great breakfast from chef every morning. I stay in multiple b&b's each year for work and have never been somewhere so friendly. I appreciate it Thanks for looking after me and helping out with the ferry. Thanks craig

My first visit to Islay and the Trout Fly was an ideal base for six days exploring Islay and Jura. Very convenient for the ferry and places to eat, excellent room and outstanding breakfasts. Everything very clean and Covid guidance was carefully respected while maintaining a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Niall was a great host with lots of local knowledge.
