There are many things to praise about this pub and restaurant. The menu is varied and we were both tempted by many of the dishes on offer. We settled on the Cullen skink and goats cheese croquettes to start, followed by the steak burger and steak pie, and were more than happy with our choices. Both our meals were very...

Having previously reviewed Sunday Lunch I recently had a late take Away Fish and Chips mid week before 9 p.m.. At £7.95 this was in fact reasonable value as the Fish was cooked to a high standard better than the average Fish and Chip shop. The chips were same double fried with a lemon in the box as well as...

Went for a wee Sunday drive today and happened on The Fintry Inn, well, from the minute we walked in until the minute we left it was, in the words of Prestwick Airport (pure dead brilliant) a choice of Sunday roasts, with the log burner glowing, live music in the bar and friendly staff what more do you need, the...

Really nice choices on the menu for Sunday lunch. There were 6 in our party and everyone cleaned their plate. It was good quality food and really nicely cooked. We all went for desserts, the cheese board was lovely, especially liked the little piece of boozy pear, the tart and cheesecake looked homemade and again the plates were all clean!...

Lovely food in a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Some fantastic fish dishes on the menu I had seabass on lemon rissotto. All dishes beautifully presented. Service top notch. Child friendly. Plenty of room between tables so doesn't feel crowded. Log burner.

Having decided to go out for Sunday Lunch we chose to eat at the Fintry Inn. Really good choice. We enjoyed a very warm welcome when we arrived and then were taken through to a lovely restaurant area, which was complete with a cosy wee stove. The food arrived, black pudding in breadcrumbs for me, and goats cheese croquettes for...

We stayed at Culcreach castle lodges which is just down the road from the fintry inn and we decided to have an evening meal here. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. My husband had the haggis and said it was very tasty. You can sit in the bar or there is a little room to the side...

My partner and I popped in for dinner while we were on a wee weeknight drive over the hills. Very unassuming from the outside and we were surprised at how nice it was inside. I wont go into too much detail but we were very impressed. Steak pie and Fish and Chips both excellent, and the haggis fritter starter was...

“I don't know if they have rooms. They seem to have a monthly ceilidh and also a folk night and a quiz night in the bar so it's worthwhile checking if these are on when you visit if it's important to you.”
