The hotel is very laid back and staff are super helpful. The breakfast was lovely and the rooms are big and clean! Only negative was the noise from the bar and outside the hotel keep me awake past 1am (was a Saturday night) The hotel was very apologetic however if youre looking for an earlier night then i would recommend staying away from room 1 and 2 as they are at the front and above the bar. I would definitely come back to stay in those nearer the back. Thanks again to the staff, and the lovely man from breakfast who profusely apologised for the disturbance.
Stayed recently for 3 nights and loved the hotel, had breakfast, lunch and dinner all excellent and wonderful staff, well done to you all, excellent coffee at the bar. Only problem was the shower pressure was woeful, really bad, also bath mat slipped when I stepped into the bath,I fell into the bath cutting my leg, needs replaced asap, once again many thanks to all,we will return when bathroom issues sorted,,
The food was good and service also good but was let down by the dire state of the men’s toilet - haven’t been somewhere so smelly and in need of a deep clean in 20 years ! This made the whole experience not worthwhile. An easy thing to fix - please please fix it
My partner and I stumbled across here while out for a drive whilst staying at Peebles for a few days. Rather then drive back for dinner we thought we would try here. It was around half four and the barman said meals don’t start till five and we could wait which we did while having a drink and selecting from the menu. I had a vegan burger and my partner had a bacon chop both of which were delicious and plentiful. Excellent value. If your looking for a traditional pub to eat I would definitely recommend here if you are in the area.
2nd stay for us in the delightful town of Biggar.Hotel is situated on the High Street and is very nice.Having stayed here before we knew the food drink would be fine etc However we were allocated room no 3 which is not fit for anyone during a heatwave!!! We had no window and we felt like we were trapped !We were provided with a minute worthless fan which was useless! We could actually have cried so hot and uncomfortable was our room and very unhealthy !I asked for another room and fan but a young lad just grunted back at me no! STAY BUT AVOİD ROOM 3
