Detailed Reviews
What a fun week! This was our second stay and well worth the trip from Augusta, Georgia. The food is phenomenal and the hospitality divine. This is Nirvana for a family with active boys. The boys loved gathering eggs, playing outside, and taking walks along the countryside. Just outside the cottage is a river with fish (including Salmon) that is ideal for throwing rocks. The wildlife in the area is amazing, and in our time there the boys saw roe deer, wild pheasants, rabbits, seals, and of course, sheep! Tony and Donna create a homey atmosphere and the boys loved learning all about hunting and wildlife from Tony at the dinner table. Breakfasts were amazing with fruit and cereal on offer as well as a full cooked breakfast.
The B and B is ideally located and we took day excursions out to Turnberry Golf Course and beach, Culzean Castle and grounds, and Ailsa Craig. There is a full video library for down time and washer/dryer facilities that are quite handy considering the Scottish weather. We have never been so pampered or fed so well. The coca cola chocolate cake was a big hit as well as the opportunity to eat fresh venison sausage and even try rabbit. Donna maintains a clean and comfortable establishment. This truly was a memorable trip and one we hope to repeat soon!

I have stopped here twice, once on business and once for pleasure. Both times the food has excelled and accomadation has been clean, spacious & accomadating. Tony and Donna made me feel very at home with their home cooked food. Prices are very fair and I wouldn't hesitate to book again or recommend the B&B.

Braefoot Cottage is a beautiful cottage set in scenic surroundings close to Girvan. Tony and Donna are very friendly, helpful and welcoming people. The on suite rooms are very clean and comfortable and Donnas cooking is simply great.
I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble as my hosts went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The B&B has a spacious comfy lounge area for guests to enjoy and is set in it's own grounds.
I plan on returning soon as it's one of the best B&B's in Scotland that I've visited.

This is our third trip to Braefoot and it has rapidly become our family vacation destination! The kids love the open air and space to play and the scenery is amazing. Donna's hospitality and cuisine are divine and the views are breath taking. Tony is so knowledgeable of the area and ecology of the animals that the boys remained enthralled. From collecting eggs in the morning, to playing on the hill, to playing on Turnberry Beach, to walks in the hills, they were never inside. If you are an outdoors person, this is the place for you. There are so many walks around the area on great established trails for any distance desired. The history of the area is fun to learn and the local museum at Girvan a true treat. Every day we would stumble upon ruins or a nugget of British history. Can't wait to go again!

I have never done a review before of anywhere I have stayed but wanted to after staying at Braefoot Cottage with Tony & Donna. The cottage is a great B & B, the food is excellent with a breakfast I will dream of for months to come. Tony and Donna make you part of the family during your stay. The rooms are luxurious and well appointed and nothing is too much trouble for either of them. We will definitely be booking to stay there again.

Donna and Tony are the ultimate hosts. A beautiful setting only 6 miles by road to the sea but surrounded by wonderful hills and woodland. Braefoot cottage is a beautiful home and Donna and Tony make you so welcome, everything about our room and shower room was tastefully luxurious, there's also a lovely guests sitting room to relax in. Donna's cooking is superb. Don't miss out on evening meals, you will not be disappointed, all local produce and home made. Only one downside...we couldn't stay for longer. We will next time- thank you!
