We have visited Barhill Holiday Park a few times this year with our own touring caravan and cannot fault the place. It's a nice, quiet site which is ideal if you want to have a relaxing holiday. The owners are absolutely fabulous and will try their hardest to help you with anything you may need. Clean, well kept shower block and toilets, on site laundry room which we never used but it's good to know it's there, swing park for the kids and an ice cream van that visits in the summer which is a huge hit with everyone. Not too far from Girvan either so not that far to travel for supplies. Will definitely be back next season and would highly recommend to friends and family!

A week day getaway!
This lovely little park is just a short drive from Girvan.

The park allows dogs and 2 night stays which is absolutely fantastic.

We booked the stargazing pod which comes with a bit more space then the other ones. All pods have a hot tub.

Philip who runs the park is lovely and very friendly. We called when we got to the park and we got a text with our code for the key. He then came down to welcome us and walked us through the hot tub.

The pod was spacious and clean. It came with a full sized fridge , kettle and microwave.
You have to take your own bedding, cups & plates etc. The pods have a tv which you can log in to Netflix etc. The park has wifi which we declined the password. Two teenagers attached to their phones - that was a no brainer! Ha!

The park has a cool house with dining tables and chairs and 2 gas hobs for cooking on. ( fantastic btw)

The wee pods have a campfire set up out front and you can purchase fire wood & a night lite. Very reasonably priced!

The park is nice and quiet and has a play park for smaller children.

Would highly recommend. Also to note their is an Asda 20 mins down the road and they deliver too!

We just returned from a lovely two night stay this past weekend. The pods were comfortable and cozy. We had a deluxe one with a toilet and shower that could actually sleep 5 although were were just the two of us and one small dog.The site is nicely laid out and peaceful and my little dog also had a great time and loads of walks nearby. The facilities were first class, we loved the spotless hot tub and purchased wood from Philip for the firepit outside our pod which helped fend off the midges. We cooked some meals in the little cook house and had a barbecue on the second night. Phillip was on hand for any advice and showed us how to operate the hot tub. All in all a real wee jem of a site which we hope to visit again.

These are described as luxury pods but I find in hard to see anything luxurious about them apart from the hot tubs.
Although external facilities were good, nice park, location, fire pit, kitchen, etc. Inside was a different story!
We booked one deluxe pod and one luxury pod but the deluxe pod was far from deluxe, when we entered it had a foosty smell and very basic furnishings, the only difference between the 2 pods was that the deluxe pod had a shower.
The toilets seat in the deluxe pod didn't even fit the toilet and there was mould on the window, loads of dust inside the extractor, red paint stains on the shower room floor and water damage stains too.
The beds were uncomfortable and nothing was Included, you basically have to take with you everything but the kitchen sink!
We didnt sleep well either as the blinds didnt keep the lights out, as the pods are situated next to the main road and the car head lights shine right in.
What I cant understand is they charge for the pods including 2 people but then they charge per additional person which outrageous as they are not supplying bedding, plates, cutlery or even bin bags.
I dont recommend this place at all and we will not be returning!

Have stayed here many times absolutely love it! Can bring the dog it’s quiet it’s peaceful it’s an escape from life everyone on the site from staff onwards are really friendly the ice cream van is an added treat! The hot tub is what makes it for me really nothing more relaxing than lying in it star gazing as the park is in a dark sky area so try and book when there is meteor shower forecast. Love sitting at the fire pit too can buy wood and fire lighters on site and also can be used as bbq Iv visited summer and winter. Girvan is close by also Newton Stewart for days out. Has a play park for the kids and wifi also tv in the pods. If your lucky you may see the peacocks you will certainly hear them!

Loved the pods and where it was located. Pod was cozy and shower was added bonus especially with having little one.

I do think it would be more attractive if added extras could be an option. I just feel next time for convenience I’d pick a pod that came with bedding/pillows/ utensils.

I also feel an added extra could be something above us so can get full use out of jacuzzi even in rainy/snowy weather.

Other than that we did love, can get takeaway delivered if don’t want to cook. Nice short drive away to trail walks that Philip recommended. Pods are immaculate.

Took my 2 daughters (13 & 5) for a chilled few days and we were not disappointed. Nice clean, cosy pod and relaxing hot tub. Play park close by which my youngest loved and made lot of new friends. Will definitely be back 😄

We have spent the last 3 days at this very well run family holiday park. The facilities are fantastic really clean and well maintained. Everyone makes you feel like part of the camping family. Philip and Laura are very friendly and very approachable and nothing is ever to much trouble. The hot tubs are the icing on the cake. These also are well looked after and very clean 🤩🔆😍
