Great two night stay. Lovely big room with a sea view. Had a good meal on the first night included (groupon voucher) , nice variety of food offered . Friendly staff . Troon is a small place with a good range of pubs and restaurants plus it's a great central location for touring Ayrshire so ideal for a short break...

Ive eaten at this hotel's restaurant many times on day trips to troon & always fancied staying the night. We were not dissapointed when we booked in one saturday in April. Its a lovely, traditional, friendly hotel. Yeah the rooms may need a fresh coat of paint but they were absolutely spotless with big white fluffy towels & a luxurious...

Left a bad taste in my mouth that I was charged for someone else's dinner and the money was withdrawn from my card without authorisation. This ruined our stay and regretfully we won't be back. They gave now refunded after the 4th timely asking. Very poor treatment of a returning customer. Room was also rather tired and in need of...

Decided to stop here after a day of travelling the lovely coast. The interior of the pub was lovely and the boat shape at the bar was a talking point. The order was taken quickly but the staff seemed quite rushed and under pressure as they were not very welcoming. Decided on the ribs and wings with side of chips...

Often go here for dinner during the week & also at weekend. The food is great, very good portion sizes and excellent value for money. The interior is what would be expected of a pub - it is very cozy & has a good atmosphere. The staff are always friendly & attentive.

We'd stayed here before with our 8 yr old and all enjoyed it, so I booked us back in for Mothers Day. Firstly, diversity training may be needed for staff, as the sight of two women and a child booking in obviously confused the man on reception - we were asked if we wanted 3 single beds. We were given...

Hotel is terrible and needs a complete refurb. It is filthy and rundown. Really shabby. The food is amazing and all home cooked. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We felt that the staff and the chef are being let down by the standard of the hotel. It need completely refurbished and health and safety checked.

“A room at the front will have a lovely view of the sea but a bit of noise for a short time as the pub comes out.”
  • View from room with slight zoom to cut out cars in car park below. Lovely walks round the coast.
