What a fabulous place to stay, great location, fantastic views, loads of space inside and out. We were made to feel so incredibly welcome, fabulous hosts. As a family of 6 (with a wee dog too) it's often difficult for us to find somewhere to stay which can accommodate us all for a couple of nights with no hassles. We...

Our stay at Sandhill House was a highlight in our vacation. Although we arrived late, we were warmly welcomed by Elaine who enquired whether we had eaten. Our first impression of the house itself was of awe and of cleanliness. Built by the Duke of Portland in 1890 and now thoroughly modernized Sandhill House is the most elegant B&B we...

Very friendly and accommodating staff, room was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast with a cracking egg yolk (no pun intended) Beautiful surroundings. Value for money. Came for a wedding so didn't spend too much time in the house however from what I seen there are rooms downstairs which would be very relaxing and a good place to sit and read...

Elaine met us at the door like a true hotelier, after welcoming us to Sandhill she showed us to our room. We were expecting the usual run-of-the-mill standard room...What we got was three-bedded suite, dining area, sitting area and spectacular views of Troon golf course. Breakfast was served by Peter and we thoroughly enjoyed the range of food on offer....

I have stayed at Sandhill Guest House on many occasions during the last 9 months and found both Elaine and Peter outstanding hosts. Their friendly and welcoming greeting is exactly what you want after a long journey. I would recommend this Guest House to anyone and the full Scottish breakfast is to die for.
