We have stayed with Janet in the past and once again this wonderful hostess has given us a memorable visit to Applecross. The area offers stunning scenery and tranquillity but you need an important ingredient to encourage you back. Ragged Acre provides that all important ingredient - excellent food accompanied by a very high standard of accommodation and a warmth...

Everything about our stay in the ragged acre made for a wonderful break for myself & my partner. From the initial stages of making the booking over the net & asking for special requests & information etc, Janet responded quickly & was very obliging to our individual needs. I am intolerant to dairy but this wasn't a problem with Janet,...

Ragged Acre is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. We spent our last two nights of a trip up north, with Janet, and have to say, wished we had spent the full trip here. Janet immediately made us feel so welcome...as if her home was our home...with such a relaxing and happy atmosphere. She gave us info...

Janet was so welcoming and advised us on all there was to see and do in Applecross. The en-suite facilities were excellent and the bed extremely comfortable. Look out for the seals, herons and deer. Enjoy the access road over the mountain (road rises to over 2000 feet). We enjoyed the Potting Shed with its walled garden as a place...

We stayed at Ragged Acre one night whilst on a cycling tour of the west coast of Scotland, would have liked to have stayed more once we discovered the charm that is Applecross. Ragged Acre was by far the best B& B we used on our tour everything was better than the impression we got from the web site. The...

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Everything about this place is perfect the rooms are a good size and the bedding is so luxurious. The room has all the mod cons including flat screen digital TV extra wide bath, power shower, and under floor heating. Drinks were provided including filter coffee with fresh milk and every...

This was our first visit to Scotland and we were warned not to expect a good experience. We travelled from Edinburgh up to Inverness and over to Skye and back to Glasgow. We stayed only one night in Applecross on way to Skye, wish we had better information as we would have extended our stayed in Applecross. The House we...

Our stay with Janet has been great and I very much doubt that you'll find a better host and accommodation in the Applecross area. The house is located in the croft of Culduie, about 2.5 miles south of the main village.Janet offers a very reasonably priced taxi-service to the pub if you fancy a night out on the tiles. The...

Just a great surprise, a wonderful host who made us feel very special and the room was well equipped with all the things to make a great nite (Did not want to get out of the bed!) The breakfast was all fresh cooked local food. The very best of Scottish Hospitality.
