Lovely clean and comfortable guest house. Excellent value for money! Easy parking, good communication and comfortable room. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely recommend, thank you
Contactless check in and room. Everyone in the building can safely assume which room new guests will be in and enter it before the check-in time. Keys to the room are left unattended in the room while waiting for the new guests to arrive. You will likely go your entire stay without even once entering in contact with a member of staff. They brand themselves as an highly automatized servicing and housing facility, meaning you'll never see a staff member, although a see through glass in the hall is probably hiding them. Common areas are smelly, as each guest will use the facilities without cleaning after them. Rooms are way too small for two people with luggage. Bathroom with not enough ventilation means mold on the roof due to the shower hot water. Can't leave the bathroom door open or the fire alarm goes off. Not recommended for more than one night stays.…
We just booked the one night. on our road trip. arrived dusk struggled to see key code entry. no staff, keys and info on the bed once found room!! roms clean and tidy. road noise through windows. lounge etc nice but can't use gorgeous log burner. fine for a stopover but wouldn't want several day!! all too much DIY!! £90 for night bit steep. breakfast bits a nice touch but prefer going down to breakfast and it being available or served by staff like last 3 places stayed at for similar price.
Contactless check in a great idea during Covid. Very clean and comfortable room with cosy bed and great power shower which was much needed after a day out cycling. Breakfast in the room was good with decent amount of options. Fresh milk in the fridge too. Great value for money.
Stayed over night while on a cycle along the Great Glen Way. Arrived in the late afternoon, soaking wet from a long day. Easy self check in, room was lovely and warm and clean. Shower was amazing and loved the breakfast items, tea and coffee and wee fridge. Had an amazing sleep in a comfy bed.
Fortunately we were only here for one night. The room we had was very small for two people. There is only one chair in the room and if one is sitting at the desk checking emails the other has to clamber over the bed. The bathroom is of a good size. Towels are freshly laundered. Now we come to the bath, it was covered in some sort of scum which I could wipe off with my hand. Either the bath has not been cleaned for days or the cleaning is done with incorrect fluid and not rinsed off. The shower is dripping and, unless you leave it in the bath, this makes a loud noise. Owing to these matters it is unlikely we will be back. Not recommended for anybody else
Spotlessly clean and fairly spacious room with lovely bathroom. (We stayed in a family room) Great location and enjoyed the relaxed experience of self check in. Really nice choice for breakfast included in the room - porridge, breakfast cereal, yoghurts and muffins. Two pints of milk supplied in the mini fridge too. Lots of nice touches like mints and toiletries. Great value for money and will definitely be back.
Ideal place to stay in Fort Augustus and close to the Caledonian Canal. Our room was excellent, comfy beds, powerful shower and they even provided a small fridge in our room. Plenty of parking as well, all went smoothly despite not seeing any staff.
Prefect location - the self check in while Covid on was fantastic and really easy. The room was great, the bathroom was fantastic with nice big towels and great water pressure in the shower which was well needed after an afternoon of cycling! Amazing value for money & a really nice touch having a little fridge in the room with fresh milk, yogurt, cereal & muffins as complimentary. Would highly recommend!
Good price. Handy to local amenities, communal area was nice, room was quite small (as was the en suite). The sliding door to the bathroom was a bit inconvenient. Nice touch having cereal/muffins provided in the room.
