My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon tour of Scotland. It was our stop between Edinburgh and Skye. It's in an absolute beautiful location and very close to Loch Ness. We easily drove to Urquhart Castle from here, so that's was nice. Our room and dinner were excellent. Bed and bath all very clean with no...

Stayed at the Lovat in August on my first trip back to Scotland after 50 years. There where 8 of us aged from mid forties to late 80's and everyone truly loved the place. The location is fantastic, central to many beautiful parts of Scotland, the food is top shelf, the service was great and friendly, rooms were very comfortable...

My family stayed here for two nights. The location is perfect- a two minute walk to town and Lock Ness. Accommodations were good and the service is excellent. The food at the restaurant is very good. I highly recommend staying here.

Very pretty property - run by a very friendly staff...in a lovely location. Restaurant is expensive - but service, food quality and presentation are top class. You need a car to be staying here so make sure you plan accordingly

Breakfast there following morning of similar standard. Lounge tastefully decorated with traditional furnishings.Liked the fact we could walk into the village easily and see the canal lock...

Very nice stopover overall but very little to do in town. Hotel charges far too much for what they are..just a nice little hotel near a canal and a famous Loch. Ask whether your room is in the annex next door .

My family and I stayed at The Lovat in October. It was the perfect base to tour the highlands from. Having stayed at many 5*hotels around the world, I couldn't fault The Lovat. It was a fantastic value for money, family hotel. Cosy well appointed bedrooms, happily catering for 2 fairly fussy children with exceptional food. I can't wait for...
