Lovely hotel, warm welcome when we arrived with a pot of tea. We were booked in for dinner so made our choices whilst enjoying our cuppa. After a wander down to the canal with fab views over Loch Ness we headed back for a wonderful dinner followed by coffee in the lounge, scrabble available to play too. Rooms are spotless...

A very pleasant family run hotel The owners and staff could not have been more helpful. There is a small bar which is well frequented with locals and residents. The breakfast was good and there is a large car park.

You receive a warm welcome on arrival at the Caledonian, plenty of parking around a nice old building. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast was very tasty and staff were spot on. Worth a stay!

Most of the main tourist spots in Fort Augustus are down by the loch or the canal but if you like good beer it's worth walking up the hill to the hotel bar here which is open to non residents and served by very friendly staff in a newly refurbished bar.

We stayed for a night here. This hotel has a lovely homely, oldie worldly feel to it but at the same time up to date. It is owned by the family who make you feel at home. We had dinner, bed and breakfast which were really first class. Special mention to the daughter Christine who was so friendly and helpful...

We liked this hotel very much for its friendly ambience and genuine traditional standards. To be met and offered a pot of tea on arrival was ideal after a long journey. The staff were delightful and we were very pleased with our choice. It is also ideal for visiting Fort Augustus and Loch Ness.

An excellent friendly family run hotel. Lovely place, wonderful hosts and excellent food. We were just passing through for one night but had a wander down to the loch and start of the canal - fascinating!

Great central location, handy to restaurants, pubs and boat tours. Informative helpful host and a good hearty breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was of a good size and well laid out. The hotel also has a putting green and a bowling green.
