We stayed here for a long weekend. Our 2 bedroom apartment in the Abbey Church was a good size and nicely furnished. The beds were very comfortable- full marks there. One needs to take the warning about lack of lifts seriously. We were on the third floor, which meant a lot of stairs; not a problem for us, but we...

We stayed here two nights in early April. The weather was very cold and the heating system did not warm the room appropriately. Also, the reception is "hidden" in a corner of the front of the property with no signs. I don't know how we managed to find it. On the plus side, the furnishings in the room we had...

I can do nothing but praise this fabulous accommodation. The conversion to self catering apartments has been stunning, keeping a lot of original features (arches, stained glass windows, doors etc.) The views are stunning, from the apartment & from the vast gardens all the way down to the Loch side. The quality of finish in the apartment is also fabulous...

Master bedroom ensuite, the second double bedroom next to the family bathroom and the third bedroom was on the very spacious mezzanine floor. The living area cum kitchen was double height and very spacious also....

Nice place but needs some tlc. The path to the village is crumbling and badly lit, the boat house restaurant is well lets say a bit run down and could do better as is the waterfront seating. The apartments are ok . If you are looking for a pub here then you will have to go into the village and...

Got welcomed to the abbey by the management and were shown to our apartment but first of where shown the amenities. The cloisters is amazing and beautiful and makes the location feel so Harry Potterish. The club has a beautiful lounge with a snooker table, games and books and is so relaxing and the chess game in the courtyard is...

What a fabulous half term holiday we had - something for everyone - great historical building - loved it. Great for adults and families. The locks nearby are fabulous and the Loch it's on is fabulous too.

We stayed in Scriptorium 2 on the ground floor. Not large but extremely comfortable.Access to the apartment was via the medieval cloister which was redolent in history. On site caretaker was charming and efficient. A bench on the shores of Loch Ness with a chilled bottle of wine as the sun set was breathtaking.A short walk to the village and the...
