Very comfortable accommodation in the superior room followed by a delicious breakfast. The surroundings are picturesque and peaceful. Elaine and John gave very helpful information about the best way to travel around Loch Ness, visiting Foyers Falls and Dores. Thank you for that it was an amazing route!

We have just returned from a two-night stay at Mavisburn, and couldn’t recommend it enough! The house itself is in a beautiful forest, set a little way out of Fort Augustus (maybe a 5-10 minute drive through the woods), and it’s very peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the superior double room, and it was great. Large and simply furnished...

Our room was large and comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Our full Scottish breakfast was substantial and set us up well for a day on the road. Elaine...

Elaine and John were such wonderful hosts even when I took the wrong road and ended up in Fort William instead of Fort Augustus! They guided me onto the right road and waited up for me to arrive even though it was very late. The room I stayed in was perfect! Clean and fresh and welcoming. The bathroom was across...

A great B&B, 2 miles from the city centre of Fort Augustus. The surroundings are really peaceful and the hosts are wonderful. They give plenty of tips for your visits and are always ready to help. The breakfast was great, more than enough choice and really tasty.

We just came off a 4-night stay at Mavisburn. The hosts, John & Elaine, were the best.
