This has the feeling of an old country house (in a good way!). The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, with lots of good advice on making the most of the surrounding area. Breakfast is excellent with lots of choice, traditional and healthier options available.

The "Balnearn House" was a nice, quit place for us as family to stay for a night. Our room was comfortable and clean. Also the breakfast was delicious, so that we cannot criticize something. My daughter liked especially the lounge that had a chessboard for our daily match.

Super property. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms nicely appointed and very clean throughout. Guest lounge is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with friends/family. My family visited while I was there and hosts very kindly allowed them to join me for drinks. Breakfast delicious and generous servings. Great location. Highly recommend.

Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was always tasty. Many rooms had great views and although ours was in the back and did not, the sound of the river was quite soothing. This is a very professionally run B&B.
