Just returned from a one night stay at this hotel with my daughter and two grandkids as we were at M n Ds theme park. We stayed on the lazy Sunday deal which was really good value. The room was nice, the food was really tasty and the staff were all very friendly(especially the young waiter in the restaurant)he had such a lovely way with him. Would defo return to this hotel and use the lazy Sunday deal again! Only reason not 5 star was the pull out bed, not the best my daughter and granddaughter said..two proper double beds would have been better! Overall well done!
Just back from a 2 night stay with kids. Cannot recommend this hotel enough! The staff were amazing nothing was to much trouble especially John the chef my kids new friend. Certainly had a lot of patience for my two! They loved their biscuits thank you. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast was amazing. M& D's is great for the kids pricey so be prepared worth it though. Hopefully be back again in October.😊🎠
Lovely friendly staff..breakfast chef especially came out see if wanted anythn made and had chat and gave kids some biscuits..nice touch. Receptionist very helpful too.room nice ŕoom plenty space 2adults 2kids ..good shower. Had evening meal was lovely and reasonably priced.
The accommodation was very nice. The staff from the receptionist to the restaurant and bar staff were first class. The food was nice and the breakfast was adequate. Sorry I only stayed for one night, close to major roads and amenities. Would definitely recommend this property.
Had the pleasure of staying here last night hotel was decent very clean spacious and the caramel wafers were a bonus the best thing about the hotel was Megan who looked after my little twins like royalty - have never met this girl before but her customer service and approachability was like nothing I have ever experienced before - she was simply amazing and made this trip epic - thank you so much
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area. Staff were very friendly, and our room was clean, comfortable and modern. The breakfast the next morning was hot with lots of selection. All this for a very reasonable rate.
Day 1 ..end of business day look forward cold drink at the bar... Served warm lager. Next drink fancied a blackcurrant cider with ice.. cider tasted like ribena very flat little ice. Bar manageress shouts across to me regarding my drink. Explaining cooling system gone down so issue with drinks.. Surely knew this before serving me , no notification to customers. Only beer available had to run round wedding marquee and use that bar... good job no weddings on. Day2 Issue still with cooling and still no notification on the bar. Expect buy cold bottled drinks , obvs pay more for. Food menu under burgers , now yes i am fussy and asked no onions on salad. I was informed unable to do this as salad pre mixed with onions. Would it not hurt to do a fresh salad. Burger said chilli and salt burger. When it came it was a chicken burger. No mention of this been chicken on the menu. Again onions in the salt and chilli sauce . Surely could of been seperated . All this is picky you say. However restaurant not busy or even full. And waited nearly 40 mins for a piece of breaded chicken to be shoved in a bun with chips. Day3 This will entail going down to the toby within walking distance. These are my my first impressions and put me off staying here again. Shame as. canx a travelodge as expected better here. Also tv in room not work with hdmi so no t able to use gaming or stick. You choose for yourselfs but first impressions mean allot…
The staff were fantastic nothing was a problem to them the chef John was fantastic is food was second to nothing fantastic the staff in the restaurant were great helpful and again nothing was a problem Sarah in reception along with Meg were so helpful I would recommend anyone who was coming to Motherwell to stay here
