I would rate this hotel extremely highly. The service was fantastic. We arrived the night before an all day endurance event, and were running late - after phoning ahead, the hotel held the kitchen open for us so that we could eat before the race. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

We arrived at the "hotel" and stayed 5mins, it reminded us of a guest house instead, on second thoughts, our last experience of a guest house was much better. Very poor standard, common areas dark and oppressive, dirty and badly in need of upgrade throughout. Stains on carpet and chair in bedroom, bath/shower badly in need of upgrade, on the...

My wife and I were invited to a wedding to be held at this hotel on 31st August. We thought it would be a very special treat to stay in this very special “Country” hotel in the “Highlands” for the occasion, taking these words from their website. We had difficulty making the booking back in December, some 8 months ahead....

My wife & I spent two wonderful nights here in August. Penny made actually made our check-in a pleasant experience. We didn't have any reservations and she just made it happen. Our room was on the ground floor and opened onto the grounds. Our room was the epitome of comfort and had a bathroom that I wish I had at...

Had heard good reports of this hotel so were pleased to get a voucher for afternoon tea for two people. It exceeded all our expectations. A traditional country house hotel on the outskirts of Forres, we experienced a warm, relaxed friendly reception - offered a choice of venues to take our tea and had just relaxed into the "country house"...

Stayed here for one night and had dinner. Interesting varied menu, well presented. Our room was lovely though the bathroom let it down a little, being a bit shabby and having plastic cups instead of glasses- not in keeping with the luxury feel of the room. The link corridors were in need of redecoration. Despite these minor imperfections we would...

Friendly hotel. Breakfast great. Stayed in a family room above the bar at the front of the hotel. Sofa-bed (used as sofa) wasn't particularly comfy, neither was the bed. Bar was a little noisy as they had a function, but it calmed down early enough. I'd stay here again.

We recently got married at the Knockomie Hotel. We had a fantastic day! The staff were fantastic, the food was great and our rooms were perfect. We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding, nothing was too much trouble there was always a member of staff on hand to deal with the smallest request. We were...

Excellent hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff . We stayed for two nights and would definitely return . The food and service was both excellent and well priced for the quality . When looking for a local restaurant the staff could not do enough in recommending and researching for us .

When we arrive at the Knockomie we were greeted by the assistant manager, John Cloete, who made us feel very welcomed. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed a drink before settling into our room. The room was large and quiet, located in the rear of the hotel. We had breakfast and dinner twice during our stay and the...
