I have come with my caravan to Middleton camping and caravan park on the Island of Arran.
The staff there have worked tirelessly to ensure social distancing, hand sanitizers everywhere in toilet and washing blocks and these are cleaned at least 4 times a day minimum.
Dogs required to be kept lead within park for safety reaons

We booked three nights in a tent for a post-lockdown last minute trip to the Isle of Arran. Check in was smooth and the staff were lovely letting us know about where to camp and where to eat out etc.

The facilities (shower + toilets) were clean and some of the stalls/sinks were closed off to maintain social distancing.

The site was a short (less than 5 mins) to the town of Lamlash, a beautiful town not far from the ferry terminal. The town has a co-op, a number of pubs and shops and is situated on a beautiful beach.

The pitch site was quiet, flat (which is good for tents) and we had amble space.

We would recommend to anyone looking to camp, caravan or bring their motorhome to Arran. Thank you for having us.

If you're looking for an Instagram #Vanlife style campsite this may not be for you. However if you want a well kept, clean, friendly campsite within walking distance of Lamlash, it's beach, co-op, bars and restaurants, buses and a short drive to Brodick then this is perfect.
All the basic facilities you need for a several night stay - dishwashing sinks, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, clean shower and toilet block.
It was one of those lovely sites where everyone talks to everyone else rather than stay in their little windbreak divided bubbles.
We stayed for 6 nights in July and it was the perfect base from which to explore the rest of Arran.

What can I say!!! Worst camping experience of my life here, I would never stay at this site again, and if you have dogs, I would avoid this site 100%. Prior to booking the reviews looked good, however the mother of the camp site is extremely rude and her daughter was just as bad, and made threats, both swearing, obnoxious, crewel, and vile is describing them and their behaviour towards us and our dogs politely. I wish I could upload the recording of how we were spoken to about our dogs doing their business, which was cleared straight away into a doggie bag. However the Mother (owner of the campsite) was not happy as dogs should not go and do their business on the site regardless to if it is cleared up, as it “Leaves Skids on the grass and dog mess is dangerous to children and you should not let the dog do this” She pointed to a sign about 5 meters away, on an A4 sheet of paper in about size 12 font stating dogs to go off site to do their business. The Mother also told us to “shut those things up” referring to our dogs as they were barking at her, as she was being aggressive, and shouting, scaring our rescue dog which had previously been beaten by their past owner. We were not told this when, we made the booking, nor when we arrived, and I would like to point out our dogs a fed dry food, and the poo was dry. Sorry but as a responsible dog owner no matter how hard you try you cannot stop your dog doing its business outside, whilst on a lead, but of course we clean up after. I said to them that you are clearly not dog friendly, and how terrified she made my rescue was appalling. I asked the daughter for a refund for the remaining days, which the daughter refused originally as she said I would probably leave them a poor review, which I then said yes I would be and if you don’t refund me I am not fussed as this would also be put on the review. Her mum then said to her daughter ‘just give them their money back and they can F… Off’. Which I would like to add we did, as we enjoy happy, dog friendly campsites, and would have left with or without a refund, as our dogs come first and we want them to feel safe and happy.

A short drive from Brodick, Middleton's is a lovely, very well-designed and maintained campsite. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and approachable. Amenities, (toilets, showers, dishwashing, fridges/freezers and charging area for devices), are in very close proximity to camping area. Lamlash is nicely situated and there is an abundance of things to do. The WiFi was a bit sketchy, but I went to camp and enjoy my time taking in the experience and couldn't care less about how good WiFi is! I loved every minute of my stay and already looking forward to my next camp at Middleton's. Praise to all!!

We visited the Isle of Arran with our campervan, and wanted to stay near Lamlash as we were visiting a relative, therefore booked this lovely site. We arrived during storm “ Agnes” but decided not to put up our new drive away awning until the storm was over. Elaine was very helpful when we arrived and advised where best to pitch. The next day things seemed calmer and we erected our awning then went out for the day! Unfortunately during the day things deteriorated and when we returned at 7-30pm we were missing our awning! Elaine came out in her raincoat and told us that a fellow camper from Derby saw the awning caught by a sudden gust and Elaine and the lady gathered our stuff towels etc from the now flat awning and took them into the drying room where Elaine washed and dried them. Thankfully we managed to erect the awning and no damage was caused. We therefore cannot give this site enough stars for looking after us and highly recommend Elaine and thank both her and the lady from Derby who explained was a regular visitor to the site.

Appreciate close to ferry but feel like they know that and monopolise ok the fact. Booked for 3 nights due to close proximity of ferry and Goatfell. We understand that it had rained and so the grass couldn’t be cut but not that the toilet and shower block couldn’t be cleaned or replenished of toilet paper and hand towels for the 3 nights we were there at £30 a night. As there are only 4 official camp sites in Arran they can do much more. On our 3rd night the person running the site was more interested in sunbathing than cleaning. If you are self contained and get the late ferry then it’s ok but I’d rather try and wild camp!!!

My wife and I have just had a lovely stay in what feels like a beautiful immaculately kept rural location that is Middletons Caravan and Camping Site, however it is only a short walk to the village of Lamlash so all facilities readily available! Wonderfully pet friendly towards our 15 year old dog with a very friendly welcome from the sites two lively canine residents! Clean and adequate facilities for all our needs. We look forward to our next hopefully longer stay on this little island gem!

We stayed three nights at Middelton, the site is level and mostly flat. The grass and the roads are well maintained. The shower and toilet block is a little dated but everything worked well and was very clean. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The beach is a two minute walk away and the pubs and restaurants of Lamlash five to ten minutes away. The campsite was very quiet at night.

A great weekend camping here it was fantastic we had a fantastic time. Close to Brodick so you don’t need to travel far . 5 minutes walk and you have the coop and other shops and pubs. Only thing is the shower heads need updating especially in the shower on the right but other than that you still got a hot shower if it was just a trickle. Bathrooms are spotless. We will certainly be back

No. But there is a Bakery and Coop supermarket very close by. By car a couple of minutes and walking there is a pathway to the main road and it takes about 10 mins to walk.
