There are so many words to describe Carraig Mor B&B, superb, excellent, fantastic, very hospitable, comfortable that you really need to visit to see how good it really is!
Helen & Andrew go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and make sure your needs are catered for. They are fantastic hosts, the rooms are spotless and have lovely little touches in the rooms, eg homemade shortbread (absolutely delicious), a little chocolate Made on the island, plus a range of teas, a little fridge, fresh milk.
Carraig Mor do evening meals (advance notice required) and again they are absolutely delicious.. ring your own alcohol (as they aren’t licensed) and enjoy the stunning view across to holy island from the dining room.
This place is a hidden treasure and we really hope to visit again in the future.

Just back from the best stay we have ever had at the Carraig Mhor !

Well what can i say ?
From the start of our break to the end of it Andy and Helen excelled themselves once again.
From the minute we arrived we were met by the hosts both wearing protective visors and masks and there was plenty sanitizer when needed and were advised on the new guidelines for Covid 19.
The B&B was spotlessly clean as always.
The food and hospitality was second to none and what made it special for us is that Andy and Helen have opened their garden to guests which meant we could enjoy the lovely weather and the perfect sea view from the garden patio.
Andy and Helen couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were totally spoiled .
So glad Andy is serving evening meals. We thoroughly enjoyed his cooking and Helen's table service was fab !!
Can't wait till our next visit. If i could mark the Carraig Mhor 10 out of 10 then i would.

So glad you enjoyed relaxing in the garden! It's always great to have guests we know return and good to have their comments on recent changes we've made. We aim for people feeling 'spoiled' when they stay with us. :-) Glad you're planning on another visit. Thank you for taking the time to do us a review.

Helen and Andrew made our stay one of the best we have ever had. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth was only beaten by the amazing food.
The excitement builds as you descend the stairs in anticipation of the gourmet breakfast about to be served.
The rooms were spotless with everything you could possibly need and many pleasant surprises which we didn't expect.
If I say what they were they wont be surprises when you visit (-:
Highly recommended and we'll definitely return when we next visit Arran.

The B&B is of exceptional high quality. The owners made me feel very welcome and were most attentive to any requirements over my 4 night stay. The rooms are very clean and views to the Holy Isle are most relaxing. Breakfast was a treat. Wide and varied choice, substantial cooked breakfast with choices of home made bread each morning. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B if you are keen on quality.

Helen and Andy made us both very welcome during our visit. Food was excellent, so many choices for breakfast along with homemade bread, granola, stewed fruits and not forgetting the jams and marmalade, gorgeous. Bedrooms are fully equipped with all you need along with lots of lovely little touches, fresh flowers, homemade biscuits, a welcome chocolate, fresh milk, and loved the little bedtime stories left on pillows every night. Plenty of information about walking and places to visit on Arran was also provided. An immaculate B&B on beautiful Arran with perfect hosts. FAULTLESS.

Not long back from a wonderful 3 night stay at Carraig Mhor. My husband and I were very well looked after by Helen and Andy who are delightful and gave good advice on things to do on Arran to improve our stay.
The Waverley room had a huge comfortable bed with every other comfort provided and more...we loved the home-made shortbread biscuits each day and the view of The Holy Isle was a bonus.
Breakfasts were delicious and varied with daily specials plus a variety of home made breads and jams. Needless to say we didn't need lunch.
We ate in-house one night and had a lovely meal.
Overall we couldn't fault this lovely B&B and will definitely stay there again if we return to Arran.

Recently back from our stay at Carraig Mhor and I cannot recommend it enough. My partner and I felt well and truly spoiled by Helen and Andy and felt relaxed throughout our stay. The food was excellent with homemade bread and stewed fruit and granola which we loved. We also appreciated the opportunity to customise our hot breakfast and ate so much that we often didn't need much for lunch!

The bath was large and comfortable with plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable and clean, both much appreciated after our long walks.

The surprises in the room were lovely and the advice for what to do around Arran was great.

I have been visiting Arran with my family my whole life but it was my partners first time and he fell in love with it too! The B&B provided a perfect base for us to explore and we will be sure to return!

Carraig Mhor has a great location with views over the bay and Holy Island with local restaurants and pubs nearby. Helen and Andy are the perfect hosts with attention to detail and lovely touches. Breakfast is a feast with Andy making fresh bespoke breads, yoghurt etc and a whole pantry of different home made Marmalades and soft fruit to choose from. Of course there is every choice for a cooked Breakfast and " Specials" as well! Sets you up for a great day on Arran.
Thanks to Helen and Andy for a fabulous 4 day stay.

A wonderful place. The most amazing hosts for which nothing is too much trouble. Very comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are fabulous with some very nice touches of fresh flowers, chocolates and homemade shortbread.
The breakfasts are epic. You will not need to bother with lunch. So much is homemade and the portions are huge. We also took advantage of the evening meals. If I was honest my food was as good as the other restaurants we ate in which all fall in the top ten restaurants in Arran.
You won’t find better.
