I attended a wedding at the Auchrannie resort. We travelled up by train from Yorkshire on the day "Doris" hit. So the journey up was interesting to say the least. Luckily we got to the ferry on time and the trip across was uneventful. We stayed in the newer of the two on site hotels. The room was excellent with...

Well after approximately 12 years of fantastic stays at Auchrannie we won't be back unless they change their new dog policy. Dogs are now allowed in Cruize bar in the Spa building after 9pm as well as the country house hotel. So if you don't like dogs, beware as you can't avoid them in public areas after 9pm. A pit...

Dear Mhairi S, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback , apart from the presence of dogs on site I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay. Around four years ago we allowed dogs into many parts of the resort and whilst its enjoyed by most I appreciate if you do not like dogs it may not be for you. Its...

We have visited Arran many times but never to Auchrannie. Very smart surroundings, beautiful room, professional staff and unusually (but very welcome) not the usual stifling hot room! We thoroughly enjoyed our night away. Bar staff in Cruise were especially nice. Happy to chat even tho they were under pressure on a busy Saturday night. Only one slight down side...

From the moment the courtesy minibus picked us up at the ferry, the service was fantastic. The resort manages to feel warm and welcoming despite comprising of 2 hotel buildings plus chalets. We were in the older building, which really suits a winter break - open fires, wood panelling, wing back chairs. Our room was contemporary but in keeping with...

Having competed the hotel's own survey and received no response I have waited until the pain had lessened! Stay was 30th Jan - 1st Feb - 2 nights. Overall - room in executive spa was very good. Arrival/check in was poor - facility to leave bag was indicated by a pointed finger - needed tidying but another finger pointed to...

Rooms , staff and service very nice but considering we paid to upgrade , the bed was terribly uncomfortable . Seemed like two singles pushed together . Very lumpy mattress . Undid all of the good work of my £60 massage . Struggled to sleep and have come home with sorer back than I went with . Wifi did not...

Excellent service and facilities. This resort has all the amenities you would ever hope to enjoy. Of particular note was the service and warm welcome extended my Graham in the bar. Old school charm, charisma and knowledge rarely displayed in the service industry. When I return, the prospect of being served by him will have been a significant factor in...

We visit the Isle of Arran for the first time in Feb and due to it being off season we were limited with where we could stay. We chose Auchrannie due to the fact it has a gym (something to do if it rained!) The staff throughout the entire resort were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good, with a wide...

Stayed in a double room at the Spa Resort and disappointed to say the decor was outdated and we could hear quite a bit of noise from the room upstairs and the corridor. A fine room if you were staying at a Travelodge but not what you expect given the prices charged by Auchrannie, just nowhere near the standard you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the heart of the beautiful isle of Arran lies the multi-award winning, family owned Auchrannie Resort. Auchrannie now consists of two four star hotels; the romantic and relaxing ‘House Hotel’ catering for couples and those wanting a more intimate experience whilst the contemporary ‘Spa Resort’ is popular with families and those prefer a more modern feel to their surroundings. In addition, the resort features 30 five-star self-catering lodges (sleeping up to 8 in total luxury and therefore perfect for the extended family), 3 outstanding, award winning restaurants and bars, 2 leisure centres both with pools, destination spa featuring treatments by ESPA and Ishga and an outdoor adventure centre. Arran is Scotland’s most accessible islands, often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature” due to the dramatic contrast between the hills and mountains in the north, and sweeping moorlands on the south of the island. A short 55 minute ferry journey off the Ayrshire coast, Arran is easily reachable by those arriving into any of central Scotland’s main airports as well as those travelling by car, train and coach. Whilst many tourists arrive on the island simply to kick back and relax, the island is packed with attractions and sights for visitors of all ages. ... more   less
